If you are looking for a B&B in Matlock look no further than The Sherrif Lodge. This place is spotlessly clean and Alan and Kate make you feel so much at home, nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms have everything you need and are very comfortable, and there is plenty of parking space. There is so much... More

Just left the hotel after a 2 night visit for a working holiday. What can I say other than wow!! It's a beautiful hotel and the owners Kate and Alan are so friendly. On arrival I was given a room known as the mouse room and it was so pretty. The room had lots of lovely little quaint mice everywhere... More

This is a lovely guest house, an interesting location & nice old house with lots of charm, clean as a whistle, and friendly & helpful hosts. Plenty of parking space. A good sized airy room with comfortable beds and an ensuite bigger than my own bathroom. I especially liked that there were none of those plug in air fresheners or... More

I couldn't agree more with all the positive reviews already given. Sheriff Lodge is a lovely place to stay and Kate and Alan even lovelier hosts. Thank you for making our visit so comfortable and welcoming.

Great B&B, with lovely modern bedrooms and fantastic breakfasts. I have coeliac disease and nothing was too much trouble. My wife says Alan's home made bread is the best. A great couple of people with a great home they share readily. We will certainly be visiting again

From the moment we arrived the stay was perfect. Kate brought us tea and cake in the garden after our long journey which was much appreciated. The house is lovely and the guest parlour is homely with complimentary juices (and sherry). Breakfast was the best part of our stay, so much to choose and the full English is amazing. Alan... More

Beautiful house, comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast, welcoming hosts - what more could you ask. Our 10 year old granddaughter said it was the best breakfast she had ever had (pancakes) and absolutely loved the themed rooms with knitted animals and pictures (mice in our room and squirrels in theirs). Huge comfortable beds, spotlessly clean throughout and attention to detail was... More

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Sheriff Lodge for the weekend recently. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not fault a thing with our stay. Kate and Alan are great hosts and provide excellent customer service. In fact you don't really feel like a customer, more a guest in their... More

We spent a relaxing 3 nights here. Alan and Kate are charming and their beautiful home that they share is lovely. Everywhere is immaculate and we felt so well looked after while we were there. For hungry travellers (or even those who prefer a lighter choice) breakfast is perfect! We highly recommend sheriffs lodge and this beautiful part of the... More

We had a fantastic stay here. Kate and Alan are the best hosts and made us so welcome. On arrival we sat in the lovely garden and Alan brought us complimentary tea and homemade cake. Breakfast wonderful with Alan's homemade bread and marmalade 😀 Lovely rooms too and comfortable beds. THIS is how a B&B should be
