This lovely period property has a large rear garden to the river's edge.we were a family party of 6 , welcomed by the owner & after leaving our luggage in our rooms sat by a roaring fire & enjoyed a glass of wine, the owner happily provided us with glasses. Guests place the breakfast order the night before ,so it's...

We stopped here for 2 nights as we wanted to see chatsworth house for Christmas. This guesthouse is spotlessly clean, has all the facilities you could need and is in prime location for the town of Matlock. Owners extremely helpful and friendly. Food was lovely and plentiful. Good parking outside down a quiet road. Never near bars and restaurants and...

We stayed here with our 4 year old during half term and it was just perfect. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was no trouble to them that we arrived an hour early for check in. Our room had a four poster bed so we really felt like we had a bit of luxury. We all slept comfortably....

Jenny and Graham's attention to detail simply add to the charm and their local knowledge is valuable. On the river with a beautiful garden it was perfect for us to venture out to some great walks and...

The room was very comfy. The breakfast was delicious, especially the poached eggs, and timely served. The location delightful, next to the river Derwent and the High St. It was close by major roads for site seeing. Local restaurants and pubs are nearby. A vibrant town on the edge of the Peaks.

This is a wonderfully conveniently located Guest House – especially appreciated by someone travelling by public transport – only a few minutes from train station and several good bus routes to Derby and other North Derbyshire town. Very quiet position, with a quick level walk over nearby pedestrian river bridge through Matlock's attractive town-centre park to all its main shops....

Been there only for a night's stay (unfortunately). Very lovely room, bright!, comfortable beds and amazing large shower. The breakfast was very delicious, better than most other places I've been to during my vacation. Very centrally located for either a stroll around Matlock or to Matlock Bath. Lovely owners and enjoyed talking to both of them. Will definitely return and...
