We stayed four nights with Ian and Joyce at Hearthstone Farm in June, and I couldn't have been more delighted with the entire stay. From the moment their sweet dog greeted us at the front door, it was a warm, comfortable welcome into their home. While still working the farm and keeping up a lovely garden, the couple are gracious,... More

First time I've ever been in a b&b and the only problem is that it set the bar very high! Absolutely wonderful in every respect: lovely hosts, spotless, warm and cosy, delicious breakfast with lot of choice and great coffee, and the location is like I've only ever seen in movies (being a foreigner). All Peak district beauties are half... More

This is our second time staying withJoyce and Ian, and we really wouldn't look to staying anywhere else in the area. We came to go to Chatsworth Show again after enjoying it so much last year. It was like going to stay with our friends, such a warm welcome from Joyce and Ian with a very welcome cup of tea... More

I look forward to visiting places around the UK, and further afield. I stay here at least three times each year, and have enjoyed more than 10 years as a client. Always look forward to these weekends.

Hearthstone Farm is lovely with a really homely feel. We were made so welcome by Joyce and Ian. The breakfast selection was just right with a mix of hot food cooked to order and cereals, fruits, toast etc. The other visitors were really friendly too meaning everyone chatted over the breakfast table, which made a change to other b and... We found this gem of a B&B after a long day at Chatsworth House. Joyce and Ian made us welcome in the universal manner of farmers. Our daughter Jenny, a dedicated horse girl, immediately fell in love with their two magnificent Shire and Clydesdale horses. The farm house is a beautiful historic building surrounded by a working farm. It is... More

We had a really enjoyable stay with Ian and Joice at this lovely B&B in Derbyshire. The bed was extremely comfortable only comparable with our own and we both slept "like logs". Our springer spaniel was made welcome too, sharing our large bathroom and was on her best behaviour! There are some rules to obey when staying with dogs but... More

We've just come back from a wonderful stay at Hearthstone Farm. Joyce and Ian are the perfect hosts and do everything to make your stay as comfortable and as welcoming as possible. We stayed in Room One which had a lovely big bed and a great walk in shower. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of nice touches, also... More

Only stayed one night but had a wonderful stay. From the peaceful location, the friendly owners, to the the perfect country decor and the fabulous farmhouse breakfast, we immediately felt at home! The bed was very comfortable, huge en suite bathroom and everything was good quality including the Ralph Lauren towels!! Thank you for a lovely stay and, as so... More

We stayed here for one night in Feb 2013, we have a 3 year old and a 6 month old, which most B&Bs in the area are not even prepared to accommodate (this is what I found when searching), even though our children are good sleepers and well behaved. We were made to feel 100% welcome and relaxed at Hearthstone... More
