Popped in when the weather looked a bit iffy whilst in Bakewell - bar is welcoming with a good selection of beers. Not expensive, and neither is the pub grub ! Had Roast Beef in a roll with some chunky chips and a little salad and a lovely little jug of gravy - it was a £5 or there abouts... More

We went to Bakewell for one day and stayed at the Red Lion pub. A nice little pub with great helpful staff. Our room was small but nicely decorated and laid out. We were lucky as we had a back room and were able to have the window open all night, my children had a front room which was noisy... More

Arrived early lunchtime on a Friday just before the rain started. Ordered roast pork cob with chips. Beautiful food, service was swift, staff were friendly and not too expensive either. Would certainly visit again and recommend to others looking for good quality and reasonably priced food.

We wandered around looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. We tried the local hotel but we're not impressed with the menu. We saw this pub over the road so we thought we would take a look. Our meal was fantastic, good home cooking at its best and excellent service. Will come again

Arrived 10 minutes before last food orders were taken but we (table of 10) were quickly accommodated. Lovely choices of food with daily specials. Pub was very busy however staff were efficient and friendly. All in all a lovely first visit.

Been to The Red Lion on Tuesday 21 of June 2016 for lunch with my family, we had the roast beef cob and hand cooked chips. The food was amazing the gravy with the beef cob and chips was very very good. I do highly recommend this place!
