Had a fantastic stay, such a gorgeous place and staff very attentive. We were met at the door and our bags taken to our room - which was spotless. I loved my stay here and would love to go back. Plenty to see and do, a visit to Bakewell where there were many shops hidden away.

Like others, I had read some reviews which made me wonder whether I had chosen the right hotel, especially as this was to be a surprise pre-birthday treat for my wife. I need not have worried, Hassop Hall is the ideal place to unwind. The fabric of the hotel is old and the walls are thick which means that the... More

We attended a wonderful family reunion at Hassop Hall and found the location, the food and the staff outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and a 94 year old lady in our party was treated like a Queen. We enjoyed it so much we will be coming back to stay overnight! Many thanks to the staff who made it such an... More

What a lovely experience dining at Hassop Hall was. Coming from New Zealand, where the opportunity to dine at an historical home doesn't exist, this was indeed such a treat. We were welcomed by the maître d'hôtel who showed us to the bar area (beautiful mahogany wall-panelled rooms) where we enjoyed pre-dinner drinks as we considered the menu. We were... More

I was a bit worried from some the reviews that this hotel would be past its best and not up to standard. How wrong I was. Old-fashioned - yes - but for the very best reasons: superb service and great attention to detail and properly trained staff. Everything flowed. The cooking is first class, and portions are huge - so... More

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Hassop Hall. Superb food, excellent service. A bit like stepping back in time to a different era when dining out was a special occasion. The proprietors and staff make dining here a special occasion for everyone. Superbly prepared meals along with the exceptional service certainly make dining here memorable

On 29th July I was treated to a fantastic day out which included a visit to Youlgrave church , champagne lunch at Chatsworth and a trip round Chatsworth House and grounds and evening meal at Hassop Hall. Truly romantic day and this was no exception to the day. From our arrival which was a surprise for me the attention to... More

One night in room 30 which is a beautiful room overlooking the back of the property, the haha and the hills beyond. We had a huge bathroom with roll top bath, bidet, double sinks and one of the largest showers I can remember. There is a slight step in bathroom which is lit like an airport runway so you won't... My partner and I were staying nearby and happened to drive past Hassop Hall, so decided to try it for dinner. We're so glad we did! It was a wonderful experience.
