We were welcomed on arrival and shown to our room by the friendly staff. We were also offered helpful local advice as to the the range of places of interest and suggestions as to where to go to eat and drink. We opted for cooked breakfasts served to our apartment which set us up nicely for the day so we didn't actually bother the restaurants too much! The location is only a short walk to the town centre and the busy Monday Market. There are a multitude of things to do and places to visit within easy reach, we visited Chatsworth and Haddon Hall which are literally a few minutes drive away. We really enjoyed our stay here. Our apartment was very spotless and gave us a lovely view over the town. It's a great base for exploring the Peak District and I'm sure we will be back here soon.

I stayed here last week for 2 nights with a friend, the room was very clean with fantastic views across the town We chose to have twin beds which were actually really comfortable, the room had a kitchenette with a fridge which was really handy for our drinks and snacks to relax with when we got in at night! Very friendly staff and only a short walk to town where we were given a discount on our food bill at The Woodyard restaurant by showing them our sleep lodge room key, definitely a bonus👍🏼 Will be back again for sure!

Thanks for your five-star review Graciebree! The Sleep Lodge has zip and link beds providing flexibility for a super king-size or twin beds. The suites have plenty of space for sharing and our guests do like the full-size fridge and mini-kitchen facilities, which are not provided at regular hotels. We look forward to your return.

What a little slice of Heaven this place is. Bakewell is by far one of my favorite places to go to escape from the big city life. My stay at the Sleep Lodge is usually always great i felt comfortable, relaxed and I am always reassured a good night rest. The staff is always kind and they are very helpful whenever i need something. The beds are always clean and there is a fresh smell of the peak district in the air. Not to mention its a skip & a hop into the town center. I come here often with friends & family & I advise everyone to give a try.

Just tried to book the Bateman room for 1stSept19, a lady took my credit card details then told me to bring cash to pay!!! I challenged this because of the lack of protection, too which she then said they would take a debit card payment. Again i said I wasn’t afforded the relevant protection, too which she then said she would only take a credit card booking with a 3% surcharge!!! I said this was against the law! She then cancelled our booking and put the phone down🙁 Well dodgy!!!

The anonymous "AudreysOtherHalf" did not stay with us and we've never heard of them! To be clear for anyone reading this statement, we CHOOSE not to take credit cards with any booking as the bank charges us 3%, we do however take debit cards, particularly with last minute bookings as then the payment is instant and not delayed. We also accept payment by bank transfer.
