The downs: Car park very very tight and not much parking near by unless you are a permit holder. Free WiFi doesn't work in the room you have to be outside to get it! Installing a booster would improve the signal and allow you to use it in the room. Towels with holes in them just doesn't look good or... More

Thank you for your review of The Sleep Lodge and your suggestions on how to improve things. We do have enough parking spaces for every room, but you are correct it is tight. So we personally check how each guest has parked to allow enough space for all. We also have another carpark just next door should guests bring more... More

Call me a pessimist but I always read the worst reviews before booking accommodation and was almost put off booking this place by some of them and also by the owners reaction to them. Fortunately we booked anyway and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and lovely room. We were able to check in 3 hours early and greeted... More

Took dog to Bakewell and had been advised we may be charged for her. Well behaved dog which didn't climb on furniture, yet we were charged a further 25% on top of the bill (£20) . Made the visit very expensive and will not be going back. This was poor branding of the venue, as other places state the charge... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights along with our little dog whilst attending the Bakewell Unleashed event. The room was very clean and comfortable with a brilliant big bed! The town was a short walk away down a hill which is quite steep on the walk back so probably wouldn't be suitable for some older citizens. All... More

Reading the previous reviews I tend to agree with the previous. Entering into the carpark it was quite tight but met by a lovely lady called Georgina who made a fuss of our dog and helped with our belongings to a lovely room. The bed was massive and so so comfy, bedlinen ultra clean and the room had everything you... More

We stayed in the Sir David Attenborough Suite. It was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of Bakewell. The room was not overlooked so it felt private. Nice little touches in the room such as filter coffee, bathroom toiletries, iron and ironing board (not that we used them!). It is a two minute walk from the centre of Bakewell... More

Arriving in a small, free to use car park we were welcomed by Martin who was friendly and carried our bags to the room. He quickly showed us around the room and then showed us the route to the centre with came in handy as we hadn't visited bakewell before. The rooms were lovely and clean, everything that was needed... We stayed for one night in the Sleeplodge which is a modern building of 11 self contained units. Very modern and clean (sink, microwave and fridge) with an excellent view over the town and car parking next door. The optional breakfast was taken in the Hall at a reasonable price of £8, a little surprisingly there was no choice of... More

Very clean. Friendly reception. Facilities good in the room. Lots of tea coffee etc. Fridge, microwave kettle and iron in the room. Car parking available. Ideal for exploring the peak. Short but steep walk into town! Would definitely stay again.
