We have just returned from a holiday trip to Bakewell where we stayed at Bagshaw Hall. The hall is spotlessly clean and well appointed. Just a couple of hundred yards from the centre of the very pretty town of Bakewell it is ideally placed for many of Derbyshire's chief attractions - Chatsworth, for example, was just ten minutes away. We... More

There is much that is good about Bagshaw Hall (location, reception rooms, helpful staff, free parking) but claiming to offer "Comfort and Luxury" but then failing to reliably deliver hot water to the tap (we had to boil a kettle to wash) deservedly gets a "struggles to make a TA 2 star" rating from me. Possibly you feel that is... More

We were expecting a double room and we had a double bedroom, living room, kitchenette and bathroom. It is situated in a beautiful and historic building and was very clean. It is situated within five minutes walk into town and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We had to telephone the owner when we arrived and she was with us... More

The room we were provided was beautiful, everything tastefully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. Bagshaw Hall was conveniently located for easy access to the main town. The breakfast in the morning was also lovely and the staff were all very friendly. Worth noting that the staff while very friendly, they also dissappear, so the house is very quiet... More

This is a beautiful historic building, within walking distance of picturesque Bakewell. The room is spacious, very clean - modern kitchen, ensuite bathroom and lounge area. However be in no doubt that if you want WIFI ( as per other reviews) and despite numerous requests for help and to reboot the booster - unless you want to go and sit... More

We stayed here for just 2 nights, but will most certainly be coming back! The accommodation, and beds = very comfortable. The showers are also great and are actually power showers. I loved the idea of the kitchenette in the room because it enabled you to make a cup of tea or a snack if necessary. The manager, Linda, was... More

This is a fantastic location. Coupled with excellent customer service and very friendly welcome. The Hall is spotless inside and outside. A perfect weekend and we hope to visit again. The support books in the rooms give you lots of ideas

It's a very elegant house with some fine rooms. I wasn't particularly happy to have to take the garden room as it has some very low ceilings. It's a shame as i suspect the other rooms were excellent. The breakfast was very nice and delivered to the room. If it was my hotel I wouldn't bother with the garden room... More

Bagshaw Hall isn't cheap, but it does provide a very comfortable place to stay in the lovely Peak District town of Bakewell. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a modern en-suite bathroom and a lounge/kitchenette downstairs. Breakfast isn't included, but can be ordered to your room. For a single night stay I guess self-catering isn't really the best... More
