Had recently a great stay at Clarendon Guesthouse. Perfect location with just a few minutes walk to the city center and bus/train station. The house was really nice and cosy with a lovely little garden! The rooms were tastefully decorated and really clean, i had my own bathroom. Also the breakfast was excellent, a typical english really filling one. The...

The guesthouse is ideally situated: it is a five-minute walk to the town centre. The owners could not have been more accommodating, and both my stays there (August 2010 and August 2011) have been very pleasant experiences. I stayed in a different room on each occasion; both were very comfortable, clean and attractively furnished. They have a beautiful walled garden...

Clarendon Guesthouse provided the perfect pied-à-terre for my first visit to Chesterfield, just a couple minutes walk to the impressive Chesterfield Spire. The Full English Breakfast is one of the best I've had in four years working in England and the friendly (and multilingual) owners provided a warm welcome and useful advice. Very comfortable bed and pretty room. I chose...

I travelled with a friend, driving around the Peak District, making Chesterfield our base for the night as it was in close proximity to the northern part of the region where we were spending the day. Close to the centre of town, the guesthouse is in an ideal location whether you are staying in Chesterfield or looking for somewhere to...

This B&B out in the Peak District is by far one of the friendliest and cleanest locations I have stayed in while traveling around England. The location is also a prime part of its excellent quality. The Clarendon Guesthouse is located in town but still in a quiet part of it and within walking distance to the train, which makes...

I stayed here with 3 other friends and loved it. I had a small single room, but even though it was compact, it had everything I could want...even a tiny bathroom with a nice shower and a set-up for coffee/tea service. The hosts were generous and very pleasant and made us feel right at home in their home! Would stay...

I had a lovely stay at Clarendon. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly and I instantly felt comfortable. I can agree with all of the earlier reviews I have read on the site. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits in case you wanted that midnight snack! Upon my arrival I was offered tea,...

Looking at earlier reviews, I can agree with every word. What I appreciated, above all, was the welcome I received from Alan and Françoise throughout my stay. On arriving, I was shown into the lounge, given a cup of coffee and made to feel very much at home. I had a quick look at Chesterfield, which struck me as a...

I arrived here as I was snowed in and couldn't get home. I was recommended this B&B by a workmate, and it was the best move I have made in ages. I was greeted at the door by Alan who made me feel very welcome. Shown to my room which was immaculately clean (and had a piece of cake waiting...
