We were fortunate to be accommodated at short notice here this week. The Clarendon is located on a quiet residential street, convenient for all local amenities and transport links. Our double room and our daughter's single one were clean, cosy and well equipped. Breakfast was good, freshly prepared with a range of options on offer. What made the Clarendon stand...

My 2 friends and I stayed here for 2 nights last weekend in order to hit the nearby attractions of Derbyshire: Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. We absolutely enjoyed our visits and our stay at the guest house! We felt very safe with Fran and Alan. Chesterfield can be a scary place for young adult female students (especially at night)....

One word - excellent! Convenient location, well kept rooms, very friendly owners. Alan and Fran are wonderful people and did their best to make my stay comfortable. Breakfast was very good with many options, even for a complete vegetarian diet. I was very touched when Fran came to pick me at the bus station late at night, out of concern.They...

I recently found myself staying in Chesterfield on business and booked into The Clarendon Guest House. What can I say? I totally made the right choice! This is a friendly, family-run place, the rooms are comfy, quiet and clean, the breakfasts are delicious, even the other guests were great. The Clarendon is also about 5 minutes walk from local shops,...

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you took the time to write so positively about us. Yes, the parking can be tricky. However, the judicious use of our visitor permit and 2 hour parking spaces usually alleviates the problem. Hopefully, you will visit again.
