To kick off our get away we wanted to visit somewhere new. So Bradford on Avon searching looked a great place to visit. The hotel was in centre on town and easy to walk to all the places we wanted to look at. Hotel staff were very friendly and even helped with where to park as car park was full on our visit. Room was clean, well presented and everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Breakfast options and portions set us up for our onward journey. The service was warm and friendly and I would recommend this to any of my fiends looking for a weekend away

Room Tip: Car park is small, so, but road at the front of hotel had spaces in early evening to park car up...

We used to live in Bradford on Avon so we have visited the Swan many times and also stayed there before. We had a standard room which was satisfactory overall. One plus was that the bed was very comfortable. The room itself was a bit tired, eg the standard of finishing in the bathroom is not great and it was pointless to try to fill the bath with hot water: the water pressure is extremely low. We sat in the courtyard and tried to order a drink but had to abandon this as you have to order using an app and this did not work. We asked the waitress for help but she said she was the only person on duty and would not be able to get around to us for some time. We found this rather strange as there weren't really that many people there and if if she could discuss the app with us why not just take our order? The breakfast was excellent. The hotel now has a Thai theme which really doesn't work given the character of the building.

We were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was good and the evening meal (Thai) was really fantastic. Room was lovely with lots of space and great hot water in the shower. The only thing I would say is that our room overlooked the courtyard and was quite noisy from people seated outside (including some karaoke?!) but it didn't go on late into the night so wasn't a big deal, but if you have a family room and need quiet for sleeping this might not work so well.

The Swan Inn was built in fifteen something and any review has to take the age of the hotel into consideration. Its location is excellent but the bathrooms would benefit from a refit to incorporate mains pressure hot water. Nice helpful manager but the Thai theme in the hotel is, well, out of place…

This ancient hotel is in the prime position in the town, by the river and the bridge. I arrived by bicycle and it was helpfully placed in a secure store for me and retrieved the next morning. I had a problem because my phone charger did not work and I needed it in order to do my navigation. Not only did James charge my phone for me, but he gave me his charger for my onward journey. My room was pleasant and the bed was very comfortable so I had an excellent night's sleep. I really enjoyed my stay.
