A birthday celebration for very young grandchildren through to grandparents....plenty to keep children entertained with pool, spa, nice study rooms with games. Good walks and walled garden. Good standard of food for adults and children. Must be even better in summer with good weather, but indifferent weather did not stop our enjoyment. One small negative is the drinks service which...

Dear Brian S Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay at Woolley. It is so lovely to hear how much everyone from the youngest to eldest enjoyed their stay. With so many things to do around the grounds, there are certainly lots of reasons to return in the summer, especially with our outdoor...

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my birthday in October. The building is beautiful and the staff were very welcoming. We had a lovely large bedroom at the top of the house (but nobody offered to help us with our suitcases up three flights of steep stairs). The ambiance is super, but so many things went wrong: main...

The hotel and grounds are gorgeous (and quirky in places!) and there is so much for the children (our boys 6 and 4) to explore. The nature garden with the fairy house was magical, as was the witch's cottage. They also loved the sheep trail/quiz, dipping nets in the pond, the old tractor, chickens, rabbit, puppy, swimming pool, and the...

Dear 839fiona Thank you for your review following your stay over the bonfire/firework weekend. So pleased that you had a great time but I will look into which room you stayed in so I can check the mattress. We know a good nights sleep is vital, especially if you have little ones waking you at all hours! Do try to...

Loved it. We have an 8year old and 11month old baby. Amazing time for everyone. Relaxing for the adults, fun for the kids, great food and wine, made the kids feel special ... Attention to detail for parents fantastic - they even cleaned the baby bottles. Definite recommend.

My wife and our 10 month old have just returned from a weekend at Woolley Grange and had a great time....sort of. This is a slightly tricky review to write, but I'm going to try and be honest. First up, it is a lovely location. The house and grounds are beautiful, and there is a lot of things you can...

Dear Andy D Thank you so much for your review and it is very interesting for us to understand how your stay worked for you. I will check out which room you were in and see what we can do about the floorboards; creakiness can be charming but also exasperating if you wake your just sleeping baby because of it....

This was a family holiday for a significant birthday ( or 2 - Grandma and Grandad!) and so we were a party of 14. Two families of 5, the 2 of us and our daughter and partner. The 6 grandchildren (aged from 9 to 4) loved every moment and 1 of them asked "could this place get any better?"! They...

Bitterly disappointed. Fabulous concept and idea but unacceptably poor level of cleanliness and unacceptably high priced: poor service, shabby decor, second-rate food and over-priced. I've stayed in family-friendly youth hostels in buildings equally beautiful with large grounds for kids to play and exactly the same, relaxed, family-friendly, pet-friendly atmosphere. But they were clean. And priced appropriately. I would rate this...

There are many things dotted around the garden for children. A large trampoline, a climbing frame, swingball, a crèche, a swimming pool, a garden with ducks and chickens, and there are organised activities, on a daily basis, I think. There is also a separate dining room for parents and children. Tea from 2.30 to 4 pm, I think and an...
