My wife and I got married here on the 1st December 2018. We stayed the night before as wanted to make a weekend of it. The rooms, food and service was all excellent.

Nicola the wedding coordinator was brilliant from the initial stages right up to the wedding day. She took a lot of pressure away from us and organised everything beautifully.

All the staff were helpful and polite. It was a fantastic weekend and we will definitely stay again just for a get away.

We booked thru off peak luxury a nights package. This included afternoon tea, dinner, my wife booking extra spa treatments
Arrived to be told no electricity, which had been out since the day before
Possibly a reconnections later around 3 pm but this was promised for 10.30
We had arranged child cover, cover from both our businesses ( as we are self employed) cover for our dogs.....
We were not contacted to allow an alternative to be sourced and as power had been off since the day before surely a courtesy telephone call to advise
This could have been done via off peak luxury
When I mentioned this a very superior young arrogant manager told me they had no phones so could not( even as he was talking on his mobile) extreme and unnecessary rudeness an apology would have been more appropriate
As we managed to arrange another hotel we went to move my car, which was now blocked by a mini tractor and gardener clearing leaves
I asked him to move so I could exit once again a mouthful
Suggest some remedial training in customer service,
An absolute disgrace
Off peak luxury managed to save our break and they immediately found another hotel
Suggest they consider removing the above establishment

Dear Mark T, I am truly sorry you feel this way, we would have of course loved to pre-warn you of the power failure but we could not get on to the system to extract this information. As I am sure you can appreciate we do not leave guests details printed out so we had no idea of any arrivals coming in. We did try to explain this to you but instead you threatened us with 'settling this over Tripadvisor' and being rude to our receptionist. With regard to the power failure we are at the mercy of SSE, the updates from them kept on changing. The power was restored at 7am that morning but unfortunately was lost again by 9am. this was of course unexpected. The power was restored at 14:40, 20 minutes before our advertised check-in. We actually looked after many guests over the two days of disruption who were understanding as this situation was completely beyond our control. We even went to great lengths of going to a well known brand of coffee shop to make sure we could still offer the service that we pride ourselves on. I am truly sorry you felt necessary to deal with this matter by threatening us with TripAdvisor, leaving and posting this review. Best wishes, Mark

This was a present from my boss - luxury afternoon tea for two. The hotel was simply perfect - from the very warm welcome at the door to the impeccable service we received throughout our visit. The afternoon tea itself was very nice, enough for both of us, beautifully presented & lovely tasting.
This is a stunning hotel, in a beautiful location with exceptional staff & I would highly recommend it.

For my wife’s 70th Birthday we looked for a quiet special location where we could gather as a family and celebrate but we needed a element of surprise. With the help of all the staff we certainly pulled it off.
I arrived accompanied by my wife, on her birthday, who did not have a clue where she was spending the next 3 nights. We A A A spacious bedroom in the courtyard annexe complete with flowers (ordered by my daughter) and bottle of champagne on ice! Our celebration meal in the restaurant was superb, the service extremely attentive but unabtrusive and capped by a ‘sweet’ desert displaying a birthday wish from the hotel staff. My daughter had made the booking on my behalf and found the reception/booking staff extremely helpful in organising two almost neighbouring rooms to accommodate my daughter, her husband and 1 child and 9 month old baby, my son and his wife and 2 children for our 2nd night. My children and their families were welcomed and hidden away until my wife and I were eating our evening meal when they were escorted into the restaurant to spring the best surprise of all as my wife was convinced were unable to have a family celebration due to everybody having commitments.
The staff then moved our table and food to the group table laid up for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble - not even the ‘firework’ candle on the cake provided by my daughter.
Returning to the hotel on the 3rd day, after all day at Longleat Safari Park and Light Show we (10) were, not having booked, all accommodated without fuss for an evening meal and relaxation in front of one of the 3 log fires. A superb end to a great family day. However it didn’t end there. Sunday morning saw the children enjoy the pool and then another superb meal by way of a traditional Sunday roast lunch.
One of my grandson’s suffers from food allergies and the restrurant staff and chef responded with some sympathy to his needs and relieved his parents concerns.

During our stay our party, both young and old, were made to feel welcome and our needs were either responded to quickly and efficiently or in some instances anticipated by all staff. Our special weekend celebration was made ‘special’ and a forever family memory thanks to how we were treated. I thank and congratulate staff and management on their service and facilities and wish the hotel every success.

I believe access is included, but obviously any treatment would need to be paid for (massage, facial, etc).
