We stumbled upon this pub on our way to Dorset. Looked at some reviews before we went in and were not disappointed. Smashing old pub, the staff were all so welcoming and kind, and the food was delicious. We all had different meals and were equally very happy with everything. I can recommend the roasted ham and mustard sandwiches, comes...

The George Inn for the Sunday Carvery must be experienced. Lovely selection of meats and vegetables at a very reasonable price. We managed to get a table without booking but it was very busy so reserving a table would be advisable. I would highly recommend the food was fantastic!

The George is my local, and as such is a very friendly and welcoming place. During the winter a roaring fire is there to warm you, and in the summer a large beer garden with childrens activities is there to welcome you. The food is excellent, with special deals for the over 60's. (I'm one!). The staff are brilliant, with...

We didn't have a very good experience at The George Inn. My husband, 1 year old son and I visited here as it was on our way to Bath and having a child in a car seat and me being 9months pregnant meant we had to stop somewhere on the way. We pulled in as it looked nice and had...

Have stopped here several times now when on a long journey. Always polite, prompt and friendly service and food delicious. Well priced for size and quality of portions and delicious stuffed butternut squash recipe - even though I'm not a veggie!

We had a family lunch on a fine Good Friday when they were very, very busy. Staff were very helpful, friendly and very easy going - in no way stressed. Food was served well, very hot, very attractive, and very tasty. There were seven of us with two toddlers and it all worked very well.

This is a lovely little place in the middle of nowhere. Great food, good prices and a lovely place to stay. The only reason we didn't give this place 5 stars was the lack of sleep we got! We stayed in August so the room was very hot. We kept the window open slightly however, there was an awful lot...

We were looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite for dinner on the way to Poole, as soon as we passed this place we knew we had to stop, it looked really warm and welcoming and we were right!, from the warm and friendly welcome from the staff to the delicious food (I had the steak and mushroom pie...
