Decided to walk the Deverill's on a circular walk using the George as a base. Phoned the night before to book a table and ask if we could use pub car park, both fine, no problem. Halfway through the walk I phoned to change the booking again no problem, although there are lots of tables! We ate in the bar...

Was due to stay @ Centre Parcs ' Longleat ' and decided to try the George as we have driven past a number of times. The George is a very friendly establishment which obviously caters for the travelling tourist and the locals. Bars and all amenities are top notch and kept very clean. We were only wanting a quick lunch...

We have used this as a meeting place with our friends because it is almost exactly half way between our respective homes. A few months ago we met on a Saturday and were mildly disappointed when two of the dishes we'd ordered were 'sold out' and had to make alternative choices. Last week we returned for Sunday lunch (because we...

Everything was just perfect from the extremely friendly and attentive staff to the absolutely brilliant food. All 3 of us had different main courses and all of them were first class. The dish I would like to make special mention of is...

We absolutely loved it here! We found it after visiting the spa at longleat and fancied a meal before we went home. They put us on a lovey table in the pub side of it. Service was great and the food even better. We both had the crab to start which was super tasty and really well presented. I had...

Stayed in a twin room with a friend as we were visiting Centre Parcs Spa the following day. The George is very ideally situated for this, it's about 10 minutes away. There's a good sized car park and the garden looked like a lovely place to sit in warmer weather. The bar itself is clean and nicely decorated as per...

Called out the blue for lunch whilst in the area , very busy but helpful staff found us a table. Good menu, polite waiter who warned us there was a wait of 30 minutes for food. Ordered and food arrived well within the timescale. Fish and chips and steak and ale pie were excellent

We went for lunch and were very disappointed with the access. My wife is in a wheelchair so I phoned a couple of nights before we went and was told to use the Orangery. This we did and access was easy. The disabled toilet was not very accessable. The bar was down three steps and I had to go to...
