First visit to this Hotel, arrived Sunday just in time for carvery lunch, very busy dining room, not surprised when we tasted the excellent food. Two nights spent in a very clean, quiet and spacious room on the ground floor with a view of tall trees. All staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea is very special. Hotel nicely... I come here on my own sometimes for Lunch. It's not easy dining on your own but the staff in this hotel make you feel so welcome and relaxed. The place feels so homely and it's a home from home. The food is always top notch and plenty of it. Very reasonably priced but apart from the food - the... More

Lovely hotel. Went for wknd with my sister and our partners. Plenty of parking and the rooms were massive. Really busy hotel with country and western night on the Friday and private dance on Sat night. They are not held in main part of hotel, but adjoining building. It must be sound proofed walls because we could not hear any... More

Just back from an overnight stay here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming... they treat you like you have known them for all your life. The food and atmosphere is second to none. It seems that they are trying to update the rooms etc. The garden area is lovely and being so close to the town centre is ideal.... More

We stayed here for one night bed and breakfast plus evening meal. Friendly, efficient and welcoming reception staff. The room was spacious with everything you would need and the welcome bottle of sparkling wine on ice was a really nice touch. We went straight to the restaurant for evening meal, which I have to say was excellent. We then went... More

I have had a few meals from here recently and they have been fab, prices are reasonable, good big picture portion sizes! Today I went with friends at lunch time, food was served quickly and we weren't sitting for too long, anything else we needed was quickly served with not too much hassle. My friend got the 8oz steak, it... More

Love the food in the restaurant and bar area. You can choose to eat in either. Big size portions, lots to choose from and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the sizzling chicken. They do a good Sunday dinner too. Friendly, helpful and approachable staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be back.
