Fourth time of staying , this time in a family group of 13. Everyone's room requests were catered for. As a family of 3, we can recommend our favourite room, Room 1. The whole place is very relaxed with a spacious communal room to mix and self-cater. Mairead and her team are very welcoming and ensured all went smoothly. We... More

What a privilege it was to have your family stay with us, especially your son and daughter who were so modest about their achievements! Thank you for this wonderful review. It was a busy weekend for us but we were so happy that you felt well catered for. Hope we will see you in the future! More

We stayed here with our dog and it was amazing. Mairead is a wonderful host. Never had a host make us so at home. Every community needs a person like her. The dog loves being in the heart of the mountains. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

I'm not one for writing reviews but feel I should in this instance. We stayed here for two nights because we wanted to bring our dog somewhere on a 'doggy' holiday. It's hard to find accommodation that welcomes pets. The Mourne lodge welcomed us and our dog and we had a great time. Mairead and the staff were friendly and... More

Sinead and I stumbled across the lodge late on a Saturday night, keen to find a bed for the night. We called Mairead and she was kind enough to come over and give us a room for the night. Mairead is a bit of a legend, welcoming, thoughtful and full of local knowledge. Our stay there was extremely chilled out.... More

It's not quite a hostel but it's not a guest house either yet the prices by the time to add in breakfast are a little on the expensive side. We felt 7pound for the breakfast we got was too much compared to what you can get elsewhere. The director of the centre was very friendly and welcoming. Parking is very... More

Thank you for your kind comments. About the breakfast, we try to give value for money with a cereal/porridge, fresh fruit salad + cooked all for £7. We also always try to give locally sourced produce which tends to be a little bit more expensive but we aim to help local community in anyway we can. Hope you will visit... More
