The big benefit of Fin Mc Cools is the location. You really are walking distance from the Causeway and the landscape around you is gorgeous. It is cheap. However, it was pretty grim. Four of us stayed in "bunk beds'. The lower bunk is a skinny, ancient mattress sitting on the floor (no bed legs). The shower rooms are falling... More

Hello there, sorry you did not like the hostel, well I am not really sorry because as we say: we are a hostel. And the price goes along with a hostel. And The Bunk beds, as you say, are also on the photo's everywhere. So I cannot see why you where surprised. But I can see you usually do not... More

So the good points It is right at the Giants causeway The staff are very friendly It is very relaxed Room to improve It needs a really good clean ! There is no excuse for the place being dirty. Even budget accommodation should be clean . The bathroom is a disgrace and they should not take money from people to... More

Cheap and great location for exploring the Causeway. We had a 4 bed dorm and we got a free breakfast in the morning and free wifi and tea and coffee all day. Slept fine and the showering facilities were ok but our room had a lot of mould/damp so wouldn't like to spend too much time there and one of... More

Absolute gem of a b&b! Had the warmest welcome from the lovely landlady, who told us all about the local area, where to eat and what to see! The rooms are lovely, well decorated and functional, great shower! The pub itself is nice, with a pool table and the breakfast in the morning is good quality and very filling. In... More

This hostel was terrible. Our room was shabby with a cheap uncomfortable bunk. The place had no atmosphere and the staff were very unwelcoming. All this would be okay except the so called cooked breakfast was a disgrace. We choose a vegetarian cooked breakfast which would honesty have fitted into a saucer. I think we had about 10 baked beans... More

The page on hostelworld says that you would be able to cancel your booking 1 day before arrival, we phoned and mailed to cancel 2 days before our stay, the staff on the phone had been really unfriendly and we got charged, because they said that it's too late to cancel.

Hello Miss Claire White, first: sorry to read your review about a place where you DID not stay. I find that strange. And second, a 100% made up story from your side. We have a the phone records. And you called us late in the morning/ early afternoon on the day that you should have arrived. Which is not even... More

I really enjoyed staying here. The room, bathroom, and common areas were clean. The staff were very friendly, and it was nice to sit around the kitchen table in the evening and chatting. The breakfast was hot and plenty for a first meal. The Causeway visitor center is just a hop, skip, and a jump away! I want to come... More

The rooms are small and clean. They are also quiet given that you are over a pub. The owners are helpful. The pub patrons are also very friendly. There is ample parking. It is centrally located and you can walk to any place in town. The breakfast is tasty and ample. It is priced right.
