Travelers' Choice
Stunning coastline, gorgeous countryside and a thriving, historic town... there's loads to see and do at the Premier Inn Hotel Carrickfergus. In fact with so much to do within a mile of the front door - plus popular business destinations only slightly further away - your first visit is unlikely to be your last. Step back in time at Carrickfergus Castle and Museum, before stepping out to its Marina and smartly refurbished Amphitheatre leisure centre. And, if it's the right time of year, follow the steps at the Annual Irish Dancing Championships. Either way, kick back at our tasty Brewers Fayre restaurant before diving into your incredibly comfy bed.

We’re just about to check out after a wonderful 7 night stay. The staff were all so friendly and went above and beyond for us all week- a special mention to Andrea, who our daughter loved chatting to every day. We received chocolate selection boxes on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and our room was cleaned even though they were short staffed. Honestly cannot praise the service of this hotel enough. Lovely breakfast too!

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is right by the harbour opposite from Carrickfergus castle so a wonderful location to walk round Carrickfergus. I went to the Parkrun in Saturday morning which took me about 6 minsutes gentle jogging to get there. The staff are friendly and more than happy to help and provide extra tea, coffee and towels. The room was large and comfortable and the hotel wasn't noisy at night. My bed did creak a bit when I moved around at night but that was my only negative. I only had breakfast one day and because of covid there was no hot buffet but the food was great. There were no sausages at breakfast but that is a general problem with the EU / Brexit arguements. Carrickfergus itself was good for shopping and had excellent roads to get quickly to other locations. I will definitely stay again next time I'm over.

This is my second experience with Premier Inns in the last 2 months. My first in Belfast was encouraging, although I was too I'll to appreciate it. This time, December 23-38, in every way a 5 star experience. Not least because it was totally unplanned and yet in every way delightful. From Emily, who was the soul of hospitality by combining authority and attention to the covid rules with a friendly smile. But not forgetting the team, right down to the polish lady who prepared my room expertly. I'm a retired MD of Mercedes Benz distributor, if it were in my gift, I would treat everyone to a weekend in Carrick where they would learn how it's done!

Having booked in seamlessly at Premier Inn Carrickfergus for the start of our 25th Anniversary celebrations by the friendliest staff (all the staff throughout our stay where welcoming, friendly and professional, always with a smile and a comment) we arrived at our spotless room and were greeted with an anniversary card, chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco this was unexpected and very gladly received , having stayed in various hotels around Ireland , Europe and the Americas this was well above the remit for a "Budget" hotel , will gladly use Premier Inn for stays of leisure and work when I travel and Carrickfergus will be top of the list for home from home ....

Excellent location, comfy beds. Staff in hotel and restaurant very friendly. Spotlessly clean, great adherence to Covid-19 guidelines. Great location and access to trains to travel around! Minimal noise and able to regulate the temperature in the room.
