rish Landmark is a non-profit organisation that finds interesting and unusual properties that are in need of conservation, and we give them new life. Since 1992, we’ve been turning historic buildings into truly special self-catering holiday accommodation. Our properties range from lighthouses and schoolhouses, to castles and gate lodges. As an educational charity, our primary aim is to conserve and sustain iconic buildings. That’s why Irish Landmark properties are living buildings, not museum settings. Irish Landmark always respects the history and architectural integrity of the structures we conserve, but we also ensure they have all the contemporary comforts you want in a holiday home.

Staying at the cutter’s cottage was absolute magic. No tv or internet made us reconnect - by an open fire and amazing views. We loved the serenity and isolation as well as the Blackhead path and Gobbins walk. Didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!!!!

A wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the 'cutter's house'. The kitchen was well equipped microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. The house was very comfortable and spotless, oil central heating, an open fire(coal/wood supplied)The views were amazing, the walk ways underneath had stunning views, could ever see the view of Scotland. Not having any tv or wi-fi was a bonus, plenty of board games, books and cards on hand, or have a glass of wine, just chill out and relax. Over an hour to the Giant's Causeway, also worth a visit. Belfast within a reasonable distance . Would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely go back.

We stayed in one of the cottages over the Christmas break. The location of the property is stunning behind the lighthouse on the coast about 20 miles north of Belfast. The house is furnished in a very tasteful traditional style and very comfortable. The open fire is wonderful and the hosts generously had wood and coal on hand. The kitchen has all mod cons you need - microwave, dishwasher etc and again hosts had liquids/tabs available. No TV or wifi, but a big supply of board games and books. It was simply a wonderful relaxing few days and I cant wait to get back. One of the days we did the black taxi tour of Belfast, which is very interesting. The next day we went to the Giant's Causeway about 90 mins away.

A privilege to have the opportunity to stay in a slice of Northern Irish history with an authentic feel, but the luxuries of central heating and a great shower! The views were stunning out over the sea towards Scotland, with the added bonus one morning of a huge pod of dolphin. At night the beams from the lighthouse were mesmerising adding a totally different dimension to this accommodation. All round it was totally stunning and a great base from which to explore the Antrim coast. A fraction of a point lost due to problems with the coal fire (a collapsing fire grate) and I would really recommend arriving in daylight as it was a bit challenging when we arrived in the dark!

This place was unreal. Well equipped, cozy, spacious, beautiful place. The views were stunning. By far, the best place we stayed during our 4 weeks in Ireland. Handy access to Carrickfergus for groceries (and a nifty castle!) and Belfast. The walking path around the site was spectacular. The folks at Irish Landmark Trust were great. Highly recommended!
