A very friendly welcome from the staff and a clean, comfortable room. We were a little concerned that the room was so reasonably priced (you get what you pay for?) but it was excellent value for money. There is off-street parking at the rear of the hotel. Essentially, it feels more like a pub rather than a hotel but the... More

Had a chance to get away for a day so booked in to the Drovers. Went shopping and took in a few bars in Carmarthen and found it to be a good place to stay. Thales rooms are clean and tidy and we found all the staff friendly. Breakfast was teally nice.

We booked this hotel through one of those booking sites that always promise more than they deliver which was the third time we have used one, and the third time we got a room right by the a.c or kitchen extraction. So never again will we use a booking site again . On arrival the pub/hotel looks nice and clean... More

My daughter and I enjoyed two nights at The Drover's Arms. The room was just what we needed. Two clean and comfortable beds, an updated private bathroom attached to the room, space to put our bags, a desk, wardrobe, and TV. A free hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, beans, cereal, juice was good. We were far enough away from... More

Company booked two nights I refused to stay another night and booked in at the Spilman on the second night. This is an Inn and is old fashioned looking but you get the impression of it being old and tired as soon as you walk in, no welcome, and the rooms were dirty and smelled of urine, there were two... The room was very basic, squeaky beds, too soft mattress, but clean. No wifi in the rooms which I think is a must as the pub is not that welcoming to sit and work in! Breakfast pretty basic, nice eggs but just really cereal and biscuits would be nice to have some different options for tea and soy milk etc,... More

We were there for three nights ,the first night being a Sunday, when we arrived there was a few men in the bar and quite a bit of swearing, which was a bit off putting, but by the evening it was quiet and no evening meal provided so we went to a large pub chain in town. The room/bathroom was... More

Myself and 2 friends chanced upon this pub and restaurant as we were camping nearby and was looking for an evening meal after spending the day travelling and setting up our tents. We found a warm welcome from the staff at the Drovers Arms. After ordering drinks we ordered the 'Friday special' of fish, chips and peas. We were thoroughly... More
