A lovely room in peaceful setting with real duvet and great shower. Great dinner with interesting flavours and good ingredients, good breakfast with everything you'd expect. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic from the word go ! Lovely staff .... happy and helpful, Our room was beautiful and the 4 poster bed a lovely surprise, we had a lovely afternoon tea followed later in the evening by an amazing meal in the restaurant, which I might add was very busy ! Actually fully booked but none of this affected the standard...

My wife and I stayed here for one night and its a really lovely hotel. We stayed in the Roche room (a "good" room which cost £95), which was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The only improvement in the room could be a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel itself is very attractive and in a great location. We...

I have visited the Cawdor several times over the last seven years and each time has been a highly enjoyable experience. The quality of the room (Allt y Ferin) my partner and I were given was good and the bathroom was lovely with separate bath and shower cubicle. Free wifi was available but did not have time to use this....

From our warm greeting from Stacey to our fond goodbyes 2 days later we had a great stay. The building is wonderful and though the Conservation Bullies have prevented the management from installing a lift it was worth it if you can manage 13 (I think) steps up to the first floor. The whole place was warm despite the month...

Called in at the cawdor this afternoon, my cousin & I went to bar to order our coffees, the lady who served us was very helpful & friendly, as we were a little undecisive as whether to have cake she recommended a scone, so we took her up on her suggestion. We were advised to have a seat, so decided...

We stayed overnight midweek on a special offer of dinner b & b for £90 as a little treat and because we wanted to visit the Deinefwr nature reserve. Our journey from Hertfordshire was particularly slow and we were concerned that we might be late for dinner so we called en-route and were reassured that there wouldn't be a problem...

We have visited the Cawdor many times over the last 18 months, because since finding it, it has become our favourite place! We love the rooms, each one as special as the next, the food is fantastic and the staff are outstanding (especially Alan and Sharon, who always make up feel so welcome). My partner and I can't recommend this...

A cold wet January night in a quiet though interesting Welsh market town isn't the most promising of scenarios but this hotel made the visit well worth it. We had one of the cheaper but by no means inferior rooms; looking at their website there are a wide range of rooms or suites. Our room was well equipped, spacious enough,...

I did a google map search so was ready for the tight entrance to the secure car park and then it is just a short walk to the hotel. First impressions was it was very clean, very pleasant staff. Evening meals were limited to bar menu but reasonably priced and the burger was nice. I liked the mini saucepan to...
