We stayed 3 nights, first night in room 3-lovely room/very homely-only minor issue was the bathroom is small so you struggle to get dried!! Have to move out into bedroom for more space/fine if your wife doesn't mind! 2 nights in room 10 in the annex-very nice room/lovely bathroom. Place is spotless. Beer is like nectar. Parking is spot on...

I stayed in a single room, which was bright, clean, and comfortably furnished, even equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities (there was even hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies provided, both of which I loved, and which were replenished everyday). Plenty of hot water in the shower. Wifi very good. For breakfast you get your pick of several hot dishes,...

Really lovely Inn with very good food in the evening and for breakfast. A wonderful selection of ales and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more! The rooms are fully equipped with all the mod cons from shampoo, conditioner to a toothbrush, shaving kit and even a sachet of squash to add to your bottle of water!

I dined here with a customer and a colleague. The beer was great and the food was nice too. Very reasonably sized portions and it is good wholesome food too. Room 1 is on the top floor and is a nice little bedroom. It feels like an Inn rather than a chain hotel. more quaint and less corporate. They actually...

Popped in after watching the Tour de Yorkshire. Great selection of Timothy Taylor beers. The food was of a high standard and the layout and vibe was old worldly and cozy as a pub should be. The service was polite, would definitely recommend can't see any faults with this pub.

One of my favorite brews Timothy Taylors. Great to have a safe parking space next to the pub and FREE. On arrival staff were brilliant and were very forthcoming. Loved the pub and the locals were welcoming. Went for a walk round for a couple of hours then checked in. Nice to be escorted to your room(other hotels take note)....

Thank your lovely comments and for taking the time to review us. Room 7 unfortunatly does get a little noisy over the weekend, as you have said it is above the bar. However if you wish to stay with us again, you won't need to make a midweek reservation, as we have plenty of quiet rooms available. Please ring us...

We visited here today because we read the reviews. I ordered the broccoli and basil filo tart. It was OK but seriously lacked seasoning however the presentation was beautiful. My husband had omelette and chips which was nice. My son had the chicken Kiev and he really enjoyed that. The chicken was juicy with plenty of garlic butter inside. We...

This was an excellent place to stay, staff friendly, food was absolutely fabulous, our room was excellent with plenty of room and a very comfy bed. The room was very clean, even in places that are normally forgotten. We will definitely be back.
