A fantastic venue with the best chips on the planet :-) 6 of us visited and the menu was fantastic, with lots of options for all of us (vegetarian, meat-a-holic, kids and grad parents) and all plates over delivered. The garden is great with a slide for the little ones set back from the road. If you are passing by.... More

Stayed here one night while walking the Glyndwr Way with friends. The good points - great bar meal in the evening, lovely outdoor area and very friendly staff. The not so good points - rooms that smelled of damp, poorly layed out ensuite with limited space, late breakfast plus dirty glasses / cutlery. This place has the potential to be... More

We were in the area at around lunchtime and had seen this pub when driving past earlier in the day. It looks so inviting from the outside. Big carpark, lovely tables and chairs outside. I loved all the cosy little rooms and the bar area. The lady who served us, the landlady I believe, was about to pour me a... More

Late lunchtime travelling towards the coast and called in. Very receptive and clean, good selection of real ales and good value quality food. Most friendly, definitely would recommend. Seems to be independent with quality and helpfulness

Called in on the way back from a day out in the Welsh coast. It was busy. We were told to expect a wait of 30mins. We agreed and sure enough we were take to a table. The service was friendly and discreet. Food is good and fairly priced. Will return. Good car parking and a spacious beer garden.

We didn't stay here but a group of us called in on a Sunday morning without booking and were immediately seated and treated well. Nice full house breakfast and the timing and service was excellent. Only criticism was we thought £10 for breakfast was a little on the expensive side.

We arrived at about 12.30 and the place was empty, we wanted something quick so ordered 2 ploughman's lunches...after 30 mins they arrived, nice ham and cheese but a sliver of bread and an over-complicated salad with grapes and strawberry bits which didn't go well with the onion. Very expensive at £9.95 each. Will not be back

Great Carvery on a Sunday lunch time, choice of beef, pork, and Lamb, cooked to perfection! Choice of veg! Including butternut squash and cabbage with bacon, roast spuds and new potatoes, carrots, just come and try it! But book first there can be a bit of a wait if you just drop in like we did, but it was a... More

Came here with hubby on way home from Barmouth. Decided to give it a try & it was well worth it. I had home made lasagne & chips & hubby had homemade Steak & Ale pie & chips, both were delicious. They were big portions too I couldn't finish mine. Friendly bar staff, beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. We would... More

I do not usually have a burger when dining out but seeing people eating burgers in restaurants I thought I would have one, what a disaster the burger it's self was under half an inch in height and tough, there was no cheese on it, the bacon was tough and cold. The only things on the plate worth eating was... More
