Old "castle" or mansion makes a great atmosphere. We stayed for Three nights and had dinner twice. A good Place for relaxation due to the location in the mids of fields. Not much to see round the hotel, but the closest Town Aalborg is South, only 20-30 km ie 15 min away by car (we had our own). Within 100... More

Vraa castle is a short detour of the motorway and the small castle lies beautiful behind old trees. The master suite is quite a show and is very tastefully designed with old amour and a big bed. The access to an own terrace is great. Unfortunately the restaurant used the old cellars for dining and not the large rooms which... More

Came here by bike and stayed for three nights. The first evening we dined at the restaurant, excellent food! Highly recommended. The room we got was beautifull, I found the bed a bit hard for my own taste but I slept good. This is a great hotel to stay at if you want to enjoy the countryside, take a drive... More

Just stayed one night here when all hotels in Aalborg were booked. This is a thematic hotel in an ancient castle. It has great decoration and can be a great place for celebrating wedding or some other holiday. You'll definitely ahve great photos from your event :) But it's not very convenient for a long stay - very far from... More

Very comfortable & fun to explore the place, it is not huge but very inviting... the food & wine excellent....we were traveling from Norway by ferry to Copenhagen and spent one night there, wish we could have stayed longer! This place would be fantastic for an event too.

We arrived late and were met by the chef which acted as night receptionist. Very friendly service by him and his colleague - the waiter in the restaurant. Nice room with romantic setting and luxurious bed.

The first impression of this hotel is ok. Some might find it strange to go down, almost like to a cellar, to check in, but hey - that adds some charm, doesn't it? After dropping our suitcases in the room, we went to the restaurant, and for our first disappointment. It took 5 minutes before we got a seat -... More

Nice old castle, close to Hirtshals (45m drive) nice breakfast, gourmet dinner. We enjojed the wedding suite. We would like to return again. A lot of history. Of course some details are old, but take that as part of the charm.

On arrival, this 18th century castle looks very charming. But instead of finding the reception up on the stairs, you must descent trough a narrow side door into the cellars. Our room was in one of both side buildings that are not connected to the main building nor reception. Although the side building smelled quite moldy, the room was fine... More

This hotel sets you back 200 years in time. They offer some very nice classical rooms. The bathrooms have been upgraded to a modern standard. We arrived at 20:10 and discovered that the restaurant already had closed. We managed to get some simple emergency supplies. Warning: I you want to arrive late and have something to eat you have to... More
