With Holiday Inn taking over the old Radisson Blu building, and Intercontinental taking over the old Grand Ho Tram building, there are great improvements in the way they run both hotels (well, technically, both belong to IHG so.. good job, IHG!). Room: Chose the Ocean Suite with interconnected kiddos' room, and they've definitely done well in their renovation - whales and waves wall, boat-shaped beds, together with plush bean bags and cosy round reading nook, right-sized washing basins and toilet bowls, and these family-friendly, kid-thoughtful design extends to the parents' room where major walls and edges are CURVED. So cool. Love, love the thoughtfulness in the design of these renovated rooms of the newly opened Holiday Inn (in Jan 2022). Kids Club: Activity-wise, oh their current Kids Club is so much better than the old and tired one at Grand Ho Tram. About 200sqm of indoor space with a mini castle, lighthouse for climbing, and many new toys and costumes to entertain the little ones below 9yo. Older kids probably can enjoy jenga, dominos, uno etc in this indoor space. Or enjoy the free outdoor mini adventurous playground Thankful that our family suite package included the price of this Kids Club, or you can enter based on an hourly fee. Pools: The pools were roughly the same as before - still gorgeous and large - but with the addition of the imitation sand shallow pool and playground pool, my kids absolutely loved visiting both everyday! Food and Staff: Staff seemed very well-trained this time, most spoke relatively good English and were prompt to initiate taking orders from you by the pool, or in the case of Khoi (their beachside restaurant), the female manager was great at making you feel comfortable and suggesting delish seafood dishes. Surprisingly, the Seafood Spaghetti at the small little Cafe (nearest to the lobby) was REALLY good, with large prawns and scallops, absolutely worth its value. Sadly, due to insufficient guests when we were there (pre-Tet January was considered off-peak), the Chinese restaurant was closed. And instead of buffet breakfast being available at both hotels, guests of both hotels were always squeezed to one of them (making it rather crowded). What we really wanted to try was their food court as we really missed it from our past visits, since it allowed us to order different cuisines at one place. It had closed due to the pandemic. Food at the Grand Bistro was average for its price, and the fried rice was dry beyond imagination, almost inedible. Thank goodness they did good service recovery by bringing us another freshly cooked one. With the lack of food options, we ended up with room service by our second lunch and well, their presentation and soups were great! Totally recommend it for a post-swimming lazy lunch.…

- Services: excellent - Staffs: very nice, from securities to waitress in hotel's restaurants - Must try food in The Grand Food Court, and Lemongrass. Their Vietnamese food is excellent - Should book spa early because they're full on weekends

We spend one night at this place. We got the room upgraded from standard to ocean view as complimentary! It’s beautiful view. It was a very enjoyable vacation. We had Pho and hamburger for dinner plus with banana milk shakes at The Grand Cafe restaurant. It was a good meal. The resort served buffet for breakfast. They have a lots of foods with different flavors. I was surprise because it was very busy even on the weekday. After had breakfast, my husband loved “Ca phe sua da” so we went back to the restaurant. The staffs were very nice and friendly. They made for us 2 cups of “ca phe sua da” and bring more foods up to our room. It’s excellent customer services ! Thank you and we will be back.

Room was comfy and clean. Pool was great. Food from the restaurant was good although a bit pricey. They had free shuttle service from HCM. Value for money! Definitely worth the 2.5 hrs ride. My family enjoyed our stay.

We were looking for a resort to stay over Christmas, that would be quite close to Hồ Chí Minh City. I am so glad we found this! The hotel provides free bus drive from City to hotel, and it was comfy and smooth transition. Hotel was just gorgeous. Everything was fancy, clean, well-kept and grand! Beautiful artwork and interior wherever you looked. Room was spacious and beautiful. There was little bit of dust on the moldings of the bathroom door, but otherwise clean and neat. The beds were just right: soft yet firm. The common areas of The Grand were amazing. The pool area is huge, with many options of cabanas, sun beds and beach chairs. You can find more quiet places or choose a place with more people around. There are two pool bars. Greenery is well kept. The beach is right next to the pool area. The DJ by the pool was playing really good music! The breakfast in Lemongrass was diverse with bacon and sausages, cheeses and vegetables, breads and pastries, fruits and drinks. OFC there was an egg station (try the poched egg!) and Asian food as well. We also ate by the pool, Coral cafe and the Fuel Sports bar. Everything was delicious. The grilled chicken sandwich with fries (by the pool) is enough for two people! Only thing we felt was overpriced was the chicken wings in Fuel. It was quite pricey for just six wings. We had Turkey Buffet on Christmas eve on Lemongrass. It was well worth the money. All the seafood was the best part of the Buffet. Only thing that would have made our Christmas eve experience better, would be to have little bit more atmospheric and dim lights in the restaurant. It was as bright as during the daytime and therefore not so calm. Also, maybe on the special night there could be a dress code? We were dressed smart casual/cocktail, but there were many people with flip-flops, oversized tees and sport shorts, so it took a bit off from the festive atmosphere. The staff has been really nice and helpful. Not all of them speak English so there might have been some confusions, but nothing major. Everyone is eager to help and that is the most important thing! Special thanks to the lady working on Fuel (her name tag said just NB) for making us feel super welcome with special Christmas drink and chatting with us in English, and also the lady who always remembered our coffee order during breakfast time! It was weekend trip away from the city. I been there last Friday night for relaxing after hard working week. After 2 hours driving from Saigon as I departure quiet late around 21;00 and arrived there 23:15. A very beautiful resort is right in front of me. Checked in was really professional by Mr. Dat receptionist. Since I made booking, I was taken care really well by Ms. Trang - Club Lounge Manager. Room is so spacious, clean.
