Had dinner here on Saturday night. The bar and restaurant look very nice, but the staff did not look happy and service was lack lustre. It was a warm evening so the windows were open and unfortunately the table outside was used by a continuous stream of smokers so we had to breathe this in throughout the meal. The food... More

We stayed in one of the cottages and when we opened the door we certainly got the wow factor. It was very modern and clean. After a long journey we had a meal in the restaurant food was very good. In the morning we had their award winning breakfast which again was faultless with friendly and efficient staff. The location... More

Just a couple on minutes from the motorway and set beside a canal, marina and lodge/caravan complex, this busy hotel is well worth a visit. It was more a stop over for us than an extended stay so I cannot say much about activities in the surrounding area but the hotel was very good. Efficient and friendly check in, very... More

When I booked this venue over their website it seems I made an oversight and only booked one room instead of two! When I realised this the staff at Longlands were brilliant, they went above and beyond to ensure we got an apartment overlooking the marina instead as they were full. The apartment was lovely and my little room in... More

Stayed here on business but would come for vacation in a heart beat. The on site restaurant offers good value, quality food and all at reasonable prices. Close by there is a canal and marina and just at the side of the hotel is a complex of cottages catering for small groups. Facilities all round are excellent and would certainly... More

On a 3 day cycle tour of Yorkshire and Lancashire our group of 18 stayed at the Longlands on the first night. Reception staff had worked with me in advance to provide smooth check in and payment. Pre ordered food arrived as selected and was excellent. Secure storage for bicycles was provided. Would strongly recommend a stay here.

I attended a wedding at Longlands and was very impressed lovely room great marquee .Friendly efficient staff and the buffet food was great . Only on criticism the wedding cheese cake was served with ordinary knives not a cheese knife . But overall it was great ..

Booked in for whit week-end, Wedding on at the time and passing trade filling all outside seats on a lovely summers afternoon. All of the larger rooms were taken by wedding guests and our room above bar was quite small for us. Even though they were up to their eyes preparing for the wedding it was no problem moving us... Reasonable accommodation in a good location. It was so close to being very good but just missed out slightly. Room was on small side but adequate, towels and toiletries were excellent and bathroom/shower very clean. However blinds in the main room were dusty. Breakfast was again adequate, however slight tweaks could make it very good. Service was patchy though with... More

Had 3 nights here first weekend in June, weather just perfect. Stated in a cottage sleeping four, full self-catering facilities, TV in Lounge and both bedrooms. Spotlessly clean. Right next to a boat marina with accommodation available there as well. My wife and I ate in the Pub, good food, limited menu but above average. Good choice of Cask Ales... More
