My father in law recommend a visit and came with us, the food was very nice , but please can we have some plates, it is just a personal thing, my food leached out onto the table as there was a split in the wood so to round up, great place ,just no food on wood or slate . Plates... More

We stopped here for Sunday dinner and I have to say it was quite disappointing. O chose the courgette fritters to start, followed by roast lamb. The fritters were not fritters, but strips of courgette, battered and then fried. They were extremely greasy and mushy, having been put in paper which caused to steam to make the batter very soggy.... More

Have just returned to the rat race that is London after an truly wonderfully relaxing midweek break at The Longlands Inn. From the moment we arrived to checking out the whole stay was perfect, from the effortlessly happy and helpful staff to the amazing food to the warm welcome of the bar. We stayed in one of the cottages just... More

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Longlands after completing our Lancaster canal walk and were certainly glad we did so. And it was a good job we booked because the place was heaving, particularly in the bar area. We enjoyed a very good meal at a very reasonable price, had a good kip and then an excellent breakfast.... We stopped here with our daughter and dog for 2 nights on our journey home from Torquay. I had booked a 1 bed cottage however on arrival we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a 2 bed. Everything about the cottage was top notch with all mod cons even down to the Krups coffee machine! The cottages are owned... More

We choose this hotel as a stopover during a long trip mainly due to the price, what I didn't expect was the exceptional service we received from Ross and Bev who were both fantastic and prepared to go the extra mile with no prompting or reason other than to highlight the hotel and encourage us to return which we will... We stayed in a one bedroom cottage attached to this very popular country inn. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished to a good standard. There is an option to take breakfast in the inn but on a summer day it would be a pity not to breakfast in the lovely private garden at the rear. It is possible to book the... More

We ordered lunch for four. Instead of a Thai pizza I got an Hawaiian. My friend ordered beef and bluestix cheese sandwich but the cheese was missing. We'd already waited a long time for the food despite being told only a short wait. Went to the bar and stood there whilst a girl served a man a pint of beer... More

We stayed here last night for our anniversary. Good points excellent staff, lovely card at dinner to acknowledge that it was our anniversary, quick and early(requested) check in. Extremely dog friendly. We were put in room 5, room itself lovely, very comfy bed and nice shower........however terrible view of the flat roof, really noisy extractor fans, my partner had to...
