October 14, 2022. Continue from Torsang Ubon Ratchathani as I arrived October 13, 2022. A day must to visit Khong jiam, I took private minivan letf downtown, in 10 mins after on road to Khong Jiam, Immediately I feeling scare because I saw water barrier put along of road shoulders to prevent water flood on road almoste 5 kilometers. But my decision to get through to continue. It lost time apoximately 1 hour there, then I stop somewhere as I put in my intinerary ex... Sirinthorn Dam, Boarder Thai - Loa (Chong Meg), then getting through to Tohsang Khongjiam Resort & Spa. Immediately arrived @here so very excited or ejaculating could say wonderful, super, and manywords as you could say. Excellence location besige of Khong River, landscape, environment, surrounding or hotel, facilities of hotel be perfect. And I could say all service at here must be 5 star ++. Staff very friendly and well trained, During stay at here althoght shower rain all time but I felt never bored with excellece place. I appreciates thank you for your associates to support and excellence service while I was here, I will say again appreciates thank you for Khun Mod as I met, she was excellence responsed and hope she will happy with new job here for her home land. I highly reccommend for your long ro short holiday here with them that you will remember for long.

The location and views out over the Mekong are super. Grounds and facilities are well maintained and the staff and management make extra efforts to provide whatever guests need or want. The resort has both older rooms and recently renovated rooms, and beautiful villas. Pretty much all have great views of the river. Excellent comfortable beds. Wonderful terrace dining area, especially nice for breakfast overlooking the Mekong. They also have a coffee shop and nearby Cotton Village to explore.

The large Bed was dangerous- it was far too high from the gloss tiled floor to get on or off safely. My wife scraped her knee many times on the protruding large frames of the oversized high bed. The gloss cream tiles were very dangerous with or without footwear. The Bath shower ran hot and cold inconsistently. The overhead shower was okay but didn't have an adjustable nozzle. The Aircon was noisy and leaking water. It kept us awake at night even when turned off. There were 40 stairs to climb to get to the room- and no lift. This will be a problem for disabled certainly. The food was okay but portions were very small in not only the restaurant by the pool but also the room service we asked for on two occasions whilst we were there. Talking about the swimming pool- On the face of it this looks okay but it is not that clean. We did swim in it but we both came out feeling very itchy despite having a showers afterwards. There is a continual waterspout spraying cold water into the pool but they obviously keep circulating the old water. Also it would appear this pool has been extended a few times as there are different levels to the bottom which are very easy to stub your bare toes on if you don't know they are there. Leaves from the nearby trees fall in the pool. The outside corridors to each of the rooms are covered but mainly open to the elements. The result is a fair amount of dust on the tiled floors which don't seem very clean. Also at night, the stairwells and stairs are very dark as the staff don't appear to change broken light bulbs while we were there. The restaurant itself is very picturesque but as previously mentioned- portions are small. The self serve morning breakfast is adequate but they finish serving at 10am. The water feature running around the perimeter of the restaurant is a very nice feature but you are only protected from the steep drop to a certain death by a faint thin white line painted on the edge of the flags. No health and safety here in this hotel that's obvious. 4 white cats and a stray dog seem to permanently roam the restaurant area when there are people about - so no hygiene concerns it would appear either. On the plus side- the room itself was spotlessly clean with very pleasant cleaning staff but you would expect that for the 4000 Thai Baht a night. We booked this hotel for our honeymoon and frankly if it wasn't for the view - we both feel there are better hotels for the money most probably along the Mekong River coastal stretch. We wish we had researched this a little more

We only live 40 mins away at Ubon Ratchathani however when a break is needed we head back to Tohsang at Khon Chiam.. The staff at reception are wonderful with a special mention of Katy. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The rooms are first class with a stunning view of the Mekong River. Due to Covid 19 restrictions the breakfast was not their usual buffet which is understandable. My wife Kookkai said first things first.on arrival head off to the beautiful pool and have the best mojito ever. We are looking for our next excuse to go back to Tohsang Resort which will not be too long in the future.

Pretty well perfect. I thought I had a fault when I couldn't find the hair dryer but later I found it (under the safe). Loved the wonderfully clean and large pool, the helpful staff and manageress that are so friendly and anticipate your needs such a swimming towels and wiping tables dry after rain. They all seem to speak some English too and that's because it's a real resort not just in name. The room is great with one of the best beds we have had in Thailand and we had a superb balcony view of the Mekong, In the restaurant department the breakfast is very good and the menu is superb. For dinner we had Mekong steamed fish and the massaman beef which were so delicious and tender. I started to really unwind but sadly we only had one night. Still we packed in 3 swims and 2 meals. Did I tell you how good it is? I think I did. There is a bit to do around here such as the Cotton Cafe and Textile Museum, the village where the Mekong leaves Thailand and Khong Chiam is less than 10km away anyway.

Reservation and Front Office are the worst. Not even try to solve the problem, just say no without finding the possibility. They use the different terms of bedding with other international hotels. Better not stay at this hotel.

We really enjoyed this Resort great food, coffee is outstanding, staff very friendly. My room was large with a great balcony and viewing the Mekong was stunning. My only concern was the distance to local shops etc but we had a car so not to difficult to find temples, restaurants and other attractions. We had a full day in Laos which was very interesting. The food in this area is excellent and great value for money.

Together with 25 other Anglo-Thai Society members my wife and myself are nearing the end of a brief (overnight) stay at the Tohsang Khongjiam Resort & Spa on the banks of the Mekong River - close to the Laos Border which our Group will be crossing later today. It is an older, Colonial-style property with extensive gardens including a lovely swimming pool, Spa (which we didn’t use) and internal and external dining areas - the latter being ideal (with not a single mosquito in sight!) at this time of the year. It really is delightful to wake up to a lovely view of the Mekong on your doorstep - or in our case Balcony! The downside is the age of the property means that not all the amenities are at the top of their game (ie I struggled to get any hot water to shave this morning) but this is more than compensated by the excellent staff and the high quality of food (much of which is freshly prepared) at both restaurants. All in all, a most enjoyable stay - albeit a rather brief one!

The view was fantastic and the food delicious. We also visited nearby cultural center where they show spinning and weaving of locally grown cotton. Cotton dyed blue by locally grown indigo. Very interesting.

The hotel is located on the bank of Mae Khong river which forms the border with Laos. The area is quite large with many different buildings. There is a nice and large swimming pool. The building is clearly older and in need of some renovation here and there but the atmosphere is nice and the service very friendly. We had a room with balcony (no lift, no chairs on the balcony) which was adequate but not completely up to modern standards (small shower, no outlets beside the bed). There is a restaurant on the terrace overlooking the river, absolutely a lovely place to dine, also quiet with only some background music. Here too service is good and so is the food. Breakfast is buffet style, for me nothing to be wished for.
