This was our third visit to this small, family owned and run hotel and the best yet. As usual we were greeted by Paola, the manager, who looked after us very well throughout our stay. We had a lovely, large room with magnificent views across the valley, enjoyed home made breakfast on the patio each morning and were very sorry we...

This is a charming hotel with very individual rooms. Our standard room was quite spacious with a desk and sofas and furnished with antique furniture. The public rooms are lovely, and again furnished with antiques. But we felt that some maintenance is over-due. It was extremely hot when we were there and the air conditioning didn't work (we were told...

Casa Pavesi is a great hotel situated perfectly in order to make the best out of your Barolo vacation. Our superior rooms faced the valley view and we had a view as far as the eye could see over the landscape and wine yards, it couldn’t be better. The breakfast on the porch (with the valley view) was the best....

Nice old building which has been sympathetically renovated keeping much of its old world charm. It's all dark wood, solid furniture and rustic Italian style from a bygone era. We were at the top of the building and our room was spacious and well appointed. Only negative points were the shower, which was a bit tired and had a tendency...

We stayed here for 2 nights during our cycle trip with Headwater for our honeymoon. Beautiful hotel - Upgraded to a suite - definitely worth it- fabulous room with amazing views from private terrace. Unfortunately couldn't get whirl bath to work. Interesting owner - nice lady, rather different dry humour! Great location for castle, dining there is a treat! Couple...

Old fashioned hotel although the room we were given was a reasonable size. We had a room facing the front - ie main road through the town. The noise from the church bell kept me awake during the night - it rang every hours twice! And also every half hour. We could also hear the traffic from the road in...

From the moment we entered Casa Pavesi we knew it was a special place to stay. Paola's inimitable welcome and continued attention to our needs made the stay truly memorable. The building is an architectural and design delight with initimate nooks and crannies, filled with antique furniture. We loved our suite, with the most amazing wooden ceiling and a private...

Our welcome was so warm - as indeed were we when we arrived after a long walk with temperatures up in the 30 degrees C. Paola (spelling?) was a treasure despite our almost total lack of a mutual language! She was so kind, even driving my friend down to the pharmacy in the town to have her eye looked at...
