NusaBay Menjangan by WHM at West Bali National Park is Bali's most important National Park with unspoiled white sand and coral/shell beaches, crystal clear waters, living coral, and Menjangan Island where you'll find one of the most spectacular underwater environments in Indonesia (bring reef walkers or sandshoes).NusaBay Menjangan nestles on a protective peninsula only a twenty (20) minutes boat ride from the mainland, and is the only resort permitted on the parks peninsula. Fourteen lanais and two villas uniquely designed to exist in harmony with the landscape a restaurant at the waters edge, a health spa with massage and beauty treatments, an in ground fresh water pool, a comprehensive range of activities tailored to the area: sea kayaking, sailing, diving, snorkeling, nature treks seeking native deer and the silver leaf monkey and sometimes the black long tail monkey, quiet picnics on deserted beaches bliss for the nature lover.

We stayed for 4 nights in a garden bungalow. The hotel arranged transportation from our previous hotel in Munduk to the island, we got here so we could take the boat at 12.15. Our garden cottage was ready when we came. The inside is quite nice but the porch has seen better days, but its still functional.
There is a metal box in the room where you can store things that might attract animals. The mosquito net around the bed is quite sturdy so we felt save from any possible intruders during the night.
Food selection is limited but in all fairness its a remote location and there isnt many tourists yet. However, all food has been good. Prices a bit higher then expected. A large beer 75', a small coke 30' and nasi goreng 85' (without the additional taxes).
We saw lots of animals just in the hotel area. The deers come by daily for water. The grey and black monkey could be seen sometimes. Snakes, bugs, spiders etc the usual suspect in the nature. Not to mention the abundance of butterflies.
Most annoying was the amount of small cockroches at the restaurant, they go all over the table, your legs, hair everywhere. Hoping this was just an isolated incident with nature and we were unlucky.
Due to its being in a national park you aren't allowed to leave the resort without a guide. And it's quite pricey to get a guide.
We took a 2h walk with the guide, it was nice to see more of the island, he can take you to a high point with great views.
Best part of this resort is the snorkling, its pretty good just of the pier. However, there isn't much of a beach so if you wanna go for a dip best place is off the pier. There are a few sunbeds on the beach and some at the pool.

20 minutes by boat to reach this Eco Lodge in the national park. Be careful if you are looking for animation or if a sea and nature holiday in peace is boring for you, do not go there, but otherwise, you will not regret it! A true paradise, an Impression of Robinson Crusoe, Bungalow simple but very clean and full of charm both inside and on its small terrace overlooking the sea (to share with the Macaques). Superb beach where you are more absorbed by deer a few meters away and dozens of black monkeys eating quietly in the trees right around you than by reading! The crystal clear waters are full of fish and coral just outside the Inn, a delight for snorkelling enthusiasts. A snorkelling excursion as well as diving on the island of Menjangan is essential and offers magical spots and still well preserved!
It is possible to dive directly with the Pension with PADI instructors. Very nice dives around Menjangan Island which is about 15 minutes from the Pension boat.
Catering at the Pension was excellent. All the staff are incredibly kind and friendly, adorable, always smiling, caring... we were really sad to leave after 3 nights! The day we return to Bali, the Nusa Bay Menjangan will necessarily be part of our stay!

Stepping on to the boat for transfer across the bay to Nusa bay hotel is the start of stepping into another world. A serene oasis, no cars, but warm welcoming staff. Comfortable cabins set back from the shore with all amenities, including good wifi. Monkeys and deer wandering around ( less peaceful when they raid your breakfast table). The sea is clear and good snorkeling direct by the pier. Snorkeling trip to manjangan island is well worth it. Food in the restaurant, breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Nice to have the afternoon tea also.
Do not come here expecting neatly manicured lawns, but do enjoy from a most peaceful paradise.

One-liner: Awesome resort to stay, relax and enjoy nature and peace.

Would we stay here again: Yes, definitely!

What we liked: Only accessible by boat, this small paradise was very nice for relaxing and sight seeing in West Bali National Park. It is a small bungalow resort where monkeys / deer's would travel through throughout the day. Directly from the resort you can step into the sea and do some snorkeling. From the resort you can also go snorkeling to Menjangan which was really beautiful. The bungalows were very nice and clean, staff was friendly, it was just great!

Improvement: Because you are in a resort and cannot go off the island in the night (unless you pay, there are fixed times when the boat travels which are free) you are restricted to only the food they provide at the restaurant. Prices are OK, but still. Definitely recommend people to bring some chips, snacks and drinks with them, naturally there isn't a supermarket. Also note, that every time you leave the resort by boat and you would re-enter, you would have to pay the entrance fee of the West Bali National Park, since the resort is IN the park itself. However, it is also unlikely that you would leave the park during your visit, but nonetheless something to keep in mind.

The location is quite unique, with some wild life and close to Menjangan ( to dive). The room are very nice, good service and a quite/ relaxing environment. Be aware to relax and diving/snorkling this place is very nice to stay, but you are fixed to activities and restaurant of the resort. The food in the restaurant is good. The track is quite nice to make, most times you see the black monkeys, deers and also the Bali Bird. The deers, black and gray monkeys will slso come in the resort (especially in the dry season).

The hotel is literally on the waterfront, where wild deer and monkeys stray around and through the resort. At the end of the boat bridge - or just from the beach - you can see unusually many colorful tropical fish. There is a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is incredibly friendly and receptive. The service level is top.
We give the resort our warmest recommendations. Book a trekking or fishing trip with one of the local guides on site - they are both knowledgeable and friendly. We were on a trip with Gustu, he we can recommend :-)

Our stay at Nusa Bay was an extraordinary experience. The facilities are really nice and cozy with a jungle touch to everything. Our bungalow had a nice view of the beach and the ocean. The staff is super friendly, sweet and so warm hearted they really made our stay very special and pleasant. Whenever we interacted with them we were astonished by their friendliness, hospitality and willingness to make their outmost to make our stay the best possible. We were always met by the biggest smile!

The food at the restaurant was amazing and we had some of our best dinner experiences in Bali at Nusa Bay.

The snorkeling trip to Menjangan was a top experience with amazing corals (alive!!) and a vast variation of fish. The guides were funny and easy going! I also had my first introductory dive and this was also absolutely amazing. The snorkeling at the Nusa bay beach is also astonishing with crystal clear waters. We have travelled the world and waters and fish life like the one to be found at this spot is very rare! We highly recommend a visit to Nusa Bay!

Unfortunately we only spent two nights there but a piece of our heart remained there
Enchanting place in the middle of the Bali national park with monkeys, fawns and wild pigs roaming freely around the structure, kind, attentive and always smiling staff, a really good restaurant with a nice choice.
The rooms are really beautiful and welcoming.
We really liked the excursions they offer.
What else to add, it's a shame we didn't spend more time there.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff

This is in a national park and has a spread out campus. Choose where you stay wisely and if possible hire a car. We had a very relaxing 10 days because we wanted to completely disconnect. We were surprised to discover that swimming in the sea is not easy (very low tides and rocky bottom littered with sharps) but there is a section where the rooms are around a swimming pool. Loved all the deers and wildlife, except the monkeys who regularly raid rooms if the door is unlocked. The restaurant at the Octagon next door is better eating and we went there instead. We also bought our grog at a nearby store and saved heaps that way. If you drive from the airport, don't take the coastal road. Drive via the mountains, and be patient. there are no highways it is single lane each way most of the drive and it can take 3 hours to travel the 150ks.
