We book 2 deluxe monsoon room for 1 night, check in was smooth, they offer welcome drink while waiting for check in, room is big and have huge comfy sofabed, they give us mosquito spray and anti mosquito lotion, also provide lavender aromatherapy in room, so minimize mosquito in room, i can sleep very well that night. I have good sleeping experience in the middle of forest. Staff is very helpfull, their buggy car always ready take us to the restaurant or bali tower. Pool is warm and clean. Breakfast is delicious, with a great beach view

We stayed at The Menjangan for a long weekend in April 2022 with our four children and a friend of ours. We rented three beach villas. All in all we had an excellent stay. This small yet exclusive hotel is nestled in the lush tropical forest of the West Bali National Park (the scenic ride from the airport is approximately 4 hours) and what I loved about it the most was that it preserves perfectly the natural beauty of the vegetation and the overall environment without attempting to alter it artificially or dominate it in any way. We loved staying at the beach villas ... very comfortable beds, spacious and very clean and tastefully, yet simply, decorated....stunning sunrise views from our beds! The tower in the park was being used as a reception and was temporarily closed as a restaurant due to covid. We ate at the beach restaurant (lovely location right by the sea) and found the food excellent and the choice good. Breakfast was particularly enjoyable with a very good choice of pastries, eggs, Indonesian food and homemade joghurts, fruit juices etc. The kids loved the double decker safari bus which shuttled us around the park. The highlight of our stay was the half day snorkelling trip to the Menjangang island where we saw a rich variety of sealife extending from stonefish, trigger fish, clown fish, sea snake, eagle ray, hard and soft coral. Our snorkelling guide was wonderful, very friendly and competent. Service at the hotel was overall excellent and we felt extremely well taken care of. My daughters and I enjoyed our sunset horse ride through the forest and the short beach stretch. The park is home to monkeys and deer which are commonly sighted and we were thrilled to witness a monkey diving into the sea right in front of us and swimming underwater for a long stretch. The mangroves are stunning. All in all, I thoroughly recommend this gem of a hotel which offers a unique experience of perfect harmony with nature, coupled with excellent service and high quality comfort.

The Hotel is placed in a remote national park of Bali, good for relaxation but facilities are aged. 1. Arrival We arrived by own car and checkin was without issues despite us being early. They are flexible. The activities we booked beforehand were without problems and quite good (horseback riding). 2. Room We booked a suite. Suites are bigger than standard rooms and for a couple I would recommend this. We were just passing through on the way to Java and had a lot of luggage so if you have more than a carry on, book a suite. The bed is comfortable; we had a good rest. The room is clean, they provide water and other typical things, no mini bar. The bathroom has seen better days and should desperately be upgraded, at least cleaned off the mould. The bathroom experience was not a pleasant one due to its lack of cleanliness. 3. Resort The resort is big, you can either use your own car to get from one place to another or you get driven by one of their busses. 4. Restaurant Unfortunately the Bali tower restaurant was closed when we were there because only very few rooms were booked. The restaurant at the beach is mosquito infested once it gets dark, keep that in mind. It was expected though and they try their best to help with that problem. The food was good, we had surf and turf for two. Very good quality. We did not have breakfast since we left in the very early hours of the morning. 5. What room to book We suggest suites, the normal rooms seem to be too small, the villas looked run down from outside and are at the beach. 6. Conclusion We would recommend this place for a few days only, go there and have a few activities, then proceed further. It is very remote and nothing else can be done there. Every activity they offer outside the resort can be done better somewhere else on Bali. The place is very good for its nature encounters, deer, horses, sunset views, etc. We would come back for a quick stopover.

Dear StEw115, Thank you very much for taking the time to share with us such extensive review. We are delighted to learn that you had a great time and sincerely appreciated everything that makes The Menjangan, such a lovely resort amidst West Bali National Park. Glad you also enjoyed extra space at our Suites (nearly 100 sqm) compared to smaller deluxe units at the lodge. In regards to our beach villas, they are actually very popular but sadly during the time of your visit we didn’t have many guests at the resort for which we didn’t set up all of them as usual. Similar to our Bali Tower restaurant although we are pleased to share with you that our facilities are all fully operational as we thankfully embrace additional business ahead of the summer season: we could not be happier. We have also note of your valuable feedback regarding Pantai restaurant and placed additional “natural” mosquito repellent to make biting our lovely guests a bit more trouble-some to our little friends after dark. Looking forward to welcoming you back It was a real pleasure having you with us and the entire family sends you their very best regards. Gelgel & The Menjangan Family Operations Manager

It was our 3rd visits since the opening and found still best place to stay at north west bali with real nature jungle, menjangan or monkey, rare birds, beach, mangrove and more. Not to mention the jetty for boats exploring famous Menjangan isle for diving and snorkeling. The best time to visit the Menjangan isle is morning to enjoy view of Mt. Baluran and Mt. Raung at Banyuwangi

One of the thousand reasons to be back here is to see this nature harmony. The peaceful escape with a highly-recommended hospitality. There are many activities to do including the horse riding, the most relaxing treatment at their mangrove spa, fish watching for kids at the jetty, and including the exploration at the West Bali National Park. Once you are in there, you won't feel like going anywhere else. We had a tour at their Residence too, a perfect compound for you who plan on staying with more family members. Thank you so much to all of the Menjangan family for your outstanding hospitality.

It was unthinkable to stay at one of the best resorts in the western part of the island of Bali. We selected to stay here because of the location, and we made the perfect decision! It's incredibly lovely and peaceful, out in the heart of nature. Also a good place for escape from a bustling city life , the Bay were beautiful and the starry sky incredible We were lucky to have a side by side room during the check in and all staff are hospitable . Room are huge with a big size bed The mattresses were quite comfortable, and the room was warm, with a magnificent view of the rainforest The water pressure in the shower was superb and there was plenty of warm water. We had a lovely dinner in their restaurant in the night. We enjoy the fact that they exclusively use best local food and ingredients. They also serve delicious Pizza . Will return in the near future

If you have enough with Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, and other touristy destinations in Bali, I recommend you to stay at The Menjangan Bali. Located at West Bali National Park, The Menjangan offers you a wild yet luxury experience. Wild? Because it's located at the national park in which you will be easily find wild animals and some protected creatures. You will feel like being somewhere outside Bali . The accommodation itself is pretty neat, considering this property is located in the middle of forest. Definitely will come again soon!

Coming back here after my childhood trip a while ago. Booked the monsoon lodge. Building are old, but clean. I ran my fingers on the table, no dust at all. We had a big window facing the national park where we saw monkeys playing in the tree, jumping from one to another tree. We also saw deer, calmly eating there. Bed was excellent, air con was excellent, bathroom-toilet also excellent. We love how they prepare some mosquitos repellent, spray and other anti mosquitos things. Breakfast was good, large portions, fresh juice. We love their homemade coconut jam and tamarillo jam. And of course the view. You can do a lot of activities there. Kayaking was a great choice, you can also do snorkeling/diving, horse riding, and bird watching. We need to go to Pantai restaurant (20 mins from monsoon lodge) for breakfast. They provided safari car to pick you up and take you there. We also had good time to enjoy sunset from Bali Tower (just call the safari park to take usthere) We loved to sit on top of the safari park to enjoy our ride, watched monkeys and deers from afar. Oh and 1 thing we really appreciated.. From the first time we booked via Agoda, we received email from The Menjangan, informing that they already received our booking, and also asked some question like our trip purpose etc. I answered the question that we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. On the next day after breakfast, we went back to our room and saw arrangement of "happy wedding anniversary" on our bed. What a nice gesture and surprise for us. Thank you!!

Dear marieska, thanks a lot. We are very happy to see you enjoyed a re-visit to the place from your childhood and had a memorable wedding anniversary with us. All our staff were delighted to have contributed to your wonderful experience at The Menjangan. The Resort is now over 20 years around and we do our best to maintain every aspect and ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene, even more in these times where a pandemic is keeping the world tight. On a positive note out of the pandemic can we see far more wildlife roaming around and guests staying with us have it easier to discover various animals playing and enjoying life at the national park. Combining this with plenty of choices of activities you got great opportunities to explore every aspect of our area, and at the same time so tranquil and peaceful to enjoy. We hope you will be back soon for another visit and look forward to it. Ingo & The Menjangan Family Resort Manager
