As a solo traveler, I appreciated the friendly staff and laidback atmosphere at Lazy Hostel which made it easy to meet people. The staff was helpful and always around to show me a cool spot on the island or hang out with a few drinks. The hostel is within walking distance of several beaches which is great if you're on a budget and don't want to spend money on a taxi. It was also well equipped with outlets by each bed, several bathrooms/showers, wifi, laundry and a free breakfast. The bar next door is pretty hopping at night and I had a great time meeting other travelers and locals alike. Will definitely be back again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lazy Hostel for a total of 10 days! We stayed while we were in the process of moving and finding a permanent residence here in Vieques. The staff (Kiki and Robin) were incredibly helpful and flexible— Thank you! The hostel itself is in a great location in Esperanza, walking distance from great restaurants and bars, Sun Bay and Playa Negra. Having use of a kitchen (fridge and stove) was great! The exterior/kitchen/common area are pretty funky but the rooms are very clean (we stayed in both the dorms and a private room) and very comfortable. Thanks Lazy Hostel for a great stay!

My stay at lazy hostel was one of the best trips I’ve taken. I intended to stay two days and ended up there for ten days. The atmosphere is very laid back and on island time. The bar attached (Lazy Jacks) is the place to be at night and was always a good time. The location is unmatched, right on the malecon, walking distance to everything in town and all the beaches. They take care of the place very well, facilities are checked every hour and the rooms are cleaned often. The staff was incredible and some of the greatest people I’ve met along my travels. They were very helpful with tours and most were always happy to take you to the local spots around the island. Emma, Sean, Aden, Crystal, JJ, Marijana, Luke, Emily, Ben, Frank you guys were awesome thanks for the hospitality and making me feel right at home. Until next time

I traveled here a solo female from the states. Vieques was my favorite part of PR. The people and connections made at the Lazy Hostel were central to my fantastic visit. The staff went out of their way to encourage travelers to sync up and save on shared experiences such as keep rentals or a kayaking tour of BioBay. I woke up and went to sleep near the sunrise and sunset, wandered the hacienda feeling completely safe and always had a pup nearby to pet. My room was very comfortable, I shared with 3 other women and we quickly became friends. JR, Dave, Steven, Josh, Louise, Kiki, Derek, and Hunter - I am sorry this is so delayed but THANK YOU! You added to the magic of Vieques and made me always feel welcome and safe. Your adventurous and beautiful spirits helped me see the gorgeous island in an even brighter light. I hope you are well!

We had a great time on a bachelor party to Puerto Rico. One of the guys wanted to visit Vieques for a day and The Lazy Hostel was the perfect place to stay. Easy to book, great food and drinks. The island was beautiful and I hope to go back.
