Stayed here recently as an alternative to he big chain hotels, and very pleased to have discovered this place. The bedrooms are are excellent, with a clever mix of modern fittings and decor in a very old building with original features. The pub food menu is also excellent....with a breakfast offering to suit all taste buds (and hunger levels) 😋... More

The room was absolutely beautiful with a lovely view of the church and the village. Lovely high ceiling with luxury furnishings and comfy bed. The breakfast was also great and included in the price. I will happily stay again on my next visit...

I stayed at the Wellington last weekend for an old friend's wedding; with it being just across the road from St. Mary's Church where the wedding was taking place, it couldn't have been a more convenient location! Overall my stay was excellent. The staff were very helpful and I loved the different features in the room, like the wooden beams,... More

Very nice stay, this hotel has bags of character with modern comforts. The room was clean and comfortable, linen spotless, breakfast was exceptional and the staff very pleasant and efficient. Would definitely visit again. Thank you

We stayed in the exec. Suite which overlooked the church. The bed was very comfortable. The only slight disadvantage to sleeping facing the church was the Sunday bells started ringing at 7am; but this wouldn't put me off staying in that room again! The staff were all very welcoming and even though they were very busy serving food in the... More

Good location, nice staff but over rated. I felt it was a better stay a few years back, so wouldn't' rush back unless the hotel gets a make over. Cleanliness was a let down, washroom door didn't close, rounded plugs not helpful for charging laptop etc. Housekeeping/maintenance team need to get together!

Ordered the daily special, a chargrilled chicken "salad". There was barely a veggie in sight. Different waitresses, who were friendly, but due to the numerous people waiting on us, one of our sides didn't arrive until we asked about it. When it turned up, it was luke walm. For half a plate of meat (the special "salad") it was incredibly... More

From the outset the welcoming owner(?) shows he knows what guests want: pleasant staff, good food, comfortable, clean, tasteful, spacious surroundings and good service. Only went for hit drink but couldn't resist lunch - and will definitely return for dinner and recommend. Can see this used as a place to eat for any occasion - in fact there were two... More

Very different, lovely and quirky. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good and the one evening meal we had was excellent. Could have had a little less dust and some refills for tissues coffee etc in the room.

We booked this very last minute for a night away with the hope of a lovely room with s bath and good food at the pub downstairs and our expectations were exceeded! The rooms were a beautiful finish although not much privacy from the toilet area! It's one if the nicest boutique hotels we've stayed in and would thoroughly recommend!
