We went for breakfast today as it was my husbands birthday. We were ignored by the two men at the door as we walked in, they carried on their conversation (they did work there) we were then seated by a waitress. My husbands scrambled eggs and bacon were fine but I had ordered Eggs Royal it came swimming in what... More

Dinner at the wellington, food good, came out very quickly, though the restaurant was not very busy, drinks on the high side re cost, large glass of wine just under £7. Staff helpful. Outside seating available, which is nice during our summer. Parking free for customers, large fee payable if not! Watch out, signs posted.

There isn't many other places to go in the village for coffee so great it is open early. Nice coffee. Ok value. Really nice decor and atmosphere. Would love to come back for food. Menu looks good, albeit quite gastro. Service ok. WiFi a bit variable. Great place to meet for a business meeting.

My wife and I had lunch at the Wellington on Sunday 5th June. We had heard that the kitchen served the best "spare ribs" in the county. I consider myself a good judge as my time living in Colorado had taught me what good ribs really were. We dined on the terrace in bright sunshine were the service was excellent... More

Really wonderful boutique Inn, we were made to feel really welcome and the food was fantastic. The staff were also attentive and friendly. Highly recommended. Make sure you book a table for dinner and the breakfast was really good.

Stayed here last year for 2 nights before heading to Paris and Warner Bros Studios - Harry Potter (20 mins away) . We were also visiting our family who live in Welwyn. The place is amazing and beautiful. Very comfortable. Very beautiful. Lovely place with lovely people. I love everything about it. There are no hotels like this in Malaysia... More

Stayed here to attend a wedding and would happily come back again. Beautiful room with old features. Very attentive staff. Lovely village feel to the immediate area. Good choice at breakfast from cereals to a full english. The rooms sit on top a pub - we wernt back until late - there was a bit of noise at kicking out... More

Me and an old work colleague met up here for dinner. At first, they seemed to be shocked to have customers and didn't really seem to know what to do with us, but once we got our table, a lovely waitress took our order and everything was fine. I had the best fish finger bap I have ever had, and... More

Stayed for one night and had room 3. I received a warm greeting and was taken to my very interesting room. It is important to remember this is a really old building and the rooms are in-keeping. There is a very comfy large bed and a fabulous free standing bath. Having no shower was strange but bath was a great... More

Booked overnight stay and dinner to celebrate my partner's birthday. Sent two emails but didn't get a response to either. Room 6 at the top of the stairs was quaint and had a lovely view of the church. No plug near a mirror for hair drying..... Had pre-dinner drinks in the bar and then dined in the restaurant. Main courses... More
