We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Clifton’s while visiting Truro. This B & B is a real gem situated just a short 10 minute walk from the lovely city centre. We arrived by train in the morning, and expected just to leave our luggage as we knew the room probably wouldn’t be ready at that time. We were pleasantly surprised when we were assured that if we were happy to wait in the lovely lounge for 30 minutes they would specially prepare the room for us so that we could freshen up before we went out again. The bedroom like the rest of the house was beautifully furnished and the en-suite was absolutely sparkling clean. Breakfast was of a very high quality and was freshly cooked to order. Peter and Norbert were exceptional hosts and we would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Truro.

The Guest house was located just a short walk into the centre of Truro. The room was very clean and comfortable and the shower room had been recently refurbished into a beautiful en-suite. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bed linen was the softest I've ever slept on! When it comes to customer comfort there's a definite feeling of 'no expense spared'. There is a very pleasant, bright lounge for residents use to the front of the house which overlooks a well kept garden. Both continental and english breakfast (vegetarians catered for) were delicious and served with a friendly smile and chat. Parking for our car was at the back of the house. We had a very pleasant stay and would stay again if we are back in Truro.

Cliftons is situated within 10 minutes easy walking from the centre of this attractive city. Peter and Norbert make one feel very welcome and provide a high class breakfast which should cover all needs. The bedroom was well equipped with tea making facilities and delicious biscuits. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is very modern and well fitted out. There is free parking at the back of the property with easy access up a few stairs to the house.

It was the final leg of our Devon/Cornwall tour and we were all wiped out. Arriving to such a clean, stylish and charming property was an absolute treat. The little details really make this place something special: The rooms ensuite bathroom had a wonderful rain style shower head, with complementary toiletries. Next to the kettle was a tea and coffee chest, with a lovely collection of clipper teas. The lounge downstairs had a few interesting reads to delve into if you had time, and the hosts were very knowledgeable of the local area. Breakfast was a feast, the meat eaters in the group loved the locally sourced bacon and sausages, and waxed lyrical about the poached eggs. For us vegans, they had sourced lots of vegan treats (vegan cheeses to spread on sourdough, mushrooms on toast, fresh tomatoes and vegan sausages). I even got a goody bag at the end of the leftovers! For parking, look out for the narrow gravel road just down the hill from the BnB, follow it up and around to the left and continue down to the end where there is free parking! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Lovely stay in a charming guesthouse. Hosts were very attentive and friendly. Difficult to find - we went around a few times to find the little road which is difficult to see from the main road if you don’t know where it is. Room was very nice though we both found the bed uncomfortable - seemed old and mattress felt like it needed changing. Lovely en suite room - everything was spotlessly clean which was great. Good selection of tea though would have liked some milk - there was only coffee cream, no UHT or fresh milk. Would have also liked another mint tea bag as there was only one which we shared. Breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from and it was well cooked. The tomatoes were delicious and ripe despite being February! Loved the cherry compote and information about local ingredients - it was very personal. Overall we’d stay again if we were in the area but due to the mattress, probably wouldn’t rush back hence the 4 stars.
