We're a smart and friendly Georgian townhouse right in the centre of Truro. Our 34 rooms and 9 apartments are beautifully designed and furnished; our busy but relaxed Bar and Brassarie's as popular with the public as it is with guests. We're not part of a chain, we're independent; taking the trouble isn't an extra, it's a basic minimum. Reception is staffed continually, there's room service until 9.30PM. We also have free wifi throughout the building and gated on-site parking.

We stayed one night whilst visiting Truro Cathedral as part of our ongoing UK tour. Rooms were very comfortable, bright & clean. Very helpful & pleasant staff, nice food and really convenient for the town. Good value for money, with car parking we will definitely stay here again.

We could not fault the service or food. This hotel is conveniently placed in the centre of Truro perfect for us for a visit to the cathedral for a Memorial Service. Thank you for our delicious light lunch beforehand.

Hello trefusis3 Yes, we are perfectly located - right in the heart of Truro's city centre so, we are the ideal place to stay when staying whether on business or for leisure and as you mention just a few yards away from the cathedral. Lunch is my favourite meal of the day and the team will be happy to hear that you couldn't fault the food or the service.

Stayed here 11/219. Facilities are adequate but woken at 05:45 by traffic so thought should be given to secondary glazing or the likes to alleviate this. Breakfast was reasonable but I was surprised that after paying £11 for the Cornish breakfast, the cup of tea I had with it

Hello 327crawfords Thank-you for taking the time to write a review and for the comments in relation to your recent stay with us. We do appreciate all comments whether positive or negative as we do review them with the team here and use them in developing our business plan in the coming years. As we are a Grade II listed building, we are required to work with our local conservation department and believe it or not this does restrict us in regard secondary glazing. we are working with conservation though as to how we can replace our existing hand-made windows so they will conform with the Grade II listing requirements. It is true though that as a city centre hotel we can experience noise from the local traffic and community but we can offer rooms on the back of the building or higher up as our accommodation is spread over three floors. We even have 9 Apartments based just behind the hotel which offer private and secure accommodation for you. As you used a third-party booking agency your booking was based upon a room only rate and yes, each cooked to order breakfast item and drinks are priced separately so I am sorry that you feel that this was possibly misleading for you. One of the advantages of booking with us direct is that we can offer a better room rate and we include a Continental buffet for you as well so, it would be great to talk to you direct when you need to make your next booking. As I mentioned your comments have been taken on board and will be discussed with the team here.

First impressions count, and the welcome we had from Annie was very friendly, - a naturally warm and caring waitress that was maintained throughout. Annie is a natural who enhanced our lunch visit by her warmth, care and attentiveness, that was just at the right level of good

As a senior member of the team with close to 20 years of service she is really knows how to guide her customers around our menus. It's great to hear from our new customers and we appreciate the fact that you have taken the time out of your busy day to write a review and post it for everyone to read. Is there free parking
Hello Elizabeth our daily car parking fee is £6.00 per day. This does entitle you to leave your car in the car park after you have checked out if you are working in town. I would mention though that on some of our offers we do offer free car parking.
