A really good place, had a room at the back of the hotel which had amazing views of the countryside. Room was clean and spacious, bed comfy and staff very friendly. Breakfast was good value, it was approx. £8 for a full English with cereal fruit etc and nicely cooked. We ate at the restaurant for 2 nights, lovely traditional... More

Lovely modern pub with rooms to a very good standard. Staff very good and it's nice to see a place where pride is taken in their job. I don't know why anyone would not like the breakfast - it was fantastic - cafeteria coffee, freshly fried eggs, Cornish butter with your toast. What isn't there to like? The room had... More

We arrived on Friday to this lovely clean and efficient hotel. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive especially the reception. The room was spacious, immaculately clean with everything you expect inside. The bar/restaurant on a Friday night was very busy which is a good sign and then the walk out to the terrace and what a view!! Highly recommended and... More

I stayed here as a relatively late booking for a works event in the town. There was lots of free parking, and when I arrived I was checked in very quickly by the ladies on the front counter. The room was on the main rd side of the hotel, but when you were in there you could not tell as... More

This hotel is good in many ways: super helpful staff, efficient wifi in rooms & a large car park. Well located for railway station and a 15 minute downhill walk into town. Buses stop outside. Rooms are adequate, but don't expect a view, as many of them overlook the car park. Breakfast was terrible. The pre-cooked buffet food looked greasy... More

We booked the County Arms Hotel in Truro online less than a week before we travelled due to many options being unavailable on such short notice. We utilised our room as a base from which to explore Cornwall and really didn't require anything special. The hotel is situated on a fairly busy street within walking distance of a large Sainsbury's... More

What a delight!! Firstly the room was modern, extremely clean and well presented. The bed although might be a little soft to others was actually perfect compared to a lot of bed I've stayed in where I can feel the springs in the mattress. Bathroom towels were bouncey soft. Couldn't fault the room. Breakfast is basic and needs improvement.

Stayed here for two nights mid week. The room was nice, clean and reasonably well appointed. Air conditioning works and not obtrusive. Dinner is basic mass market staples, including burgers, fish and chips etc and of reasonable quality and price. The disappointment was the breakfast, which costs £8.50 per day on top of the room cost and uninspiring. The sausages... More

I recently visited the county arms with a friend for some lunch and we were more than impressed with the staff and service! We walked in to a open spaced pub and staff who greated us with open arms and asked what they could get us to drink, we then sat down to an amazing meal of nachos to start... More

Just an overnight stay whilst in the area for the wedding of the year in Chacewater. Reception staff fine, room fine, bed comfy but what a disappointment awaited us. Room £109 but breakfast extra - strange not included but okay. Chose the continental option and it was a disaster - no cheese, no cold meats, uninviting bits of pineapple, melon... More
