the owners appear to go out of their way to treat staff very shabbily and the customers don't get a much better deal. Their organisational skills are non-existant, with no leadership or sense of vision apparent. A great deal of money has obviously been invested in totally the wrong areas in a baffling and shambolic manner. The bedrooms are tired...

This hotel is undergoing major changes under new ownership and I must say they're doing a great job. We enjoyed a fantastic five course new years Eve dinner for the incredibly reasonable price of £29.99! We started with a welcome bucks fizz and canapes followed by duck and chicken terrine, my husband chose lamb shank for the main and said...

Mattresses in main reception with the children sleeping on ladies shoes strewn everywhere. Glass bottles on the staircases!! Was thoroughly disappointed with the eating arrangements on New Year's Eve were put to sit with four...

Lack of management skills. Member of staff had more knowledge of the business despite only being there 2 months. Cold rooms is an understatement. -3.5 on 1 night. Little electric heather for the room. Breakfast was pleasant and polite. Unable to eat the full English as swimming in to much grease. No lights in the corridor to our room. Had...

My husband is on a photography trip to Wales and his first night was spent at this hotel. He told me everything was excellent here. His room was £60 for the night, including breakfast. He hadn't booked as he didn't know exactly where he was going to be ending up but after the really good nights sleep he got and...

The Hafod is a lovely old building in a marvellous location. It is undergoing some refurbishment work just now but we still enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food is very good with more than adequate portions. Our room had a great view. The Hafod is very clean and our room...
