Take care to establish the location of this B&B before leaving home. The end of a long bike ride is not the time to find out it's another 6 miles and most of it uphill! My fault not theirs. It something to think about. Never again. Very clean, friendly and well run. Good food, licensed and comfortable beds. Storage available... More

We stayed for two nights at this delightful farmhouse high up on the hills in Northumberland. We stayed in the barn conversion in a very comfortable room with excellent decor and facilities. The breakfasts were very good as was the Ploughman's supper we had on our first night. The owners were very helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our... More

There is only one drawback to Carraw: it is pricey. Apart from that, it is one of the best B&Bs I know. The location is great, right next to the Hadrian's Wall path. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Welcome is warm and friendly. They are licensed with a good choice of local beers (it's a long way to the pub)... More

Our group of friends stayed in this B&B last week whilst on the Hadrians wall walk. We arrived with some trepidation as we knew we would be faced with just a ploughmans for dinner when we got in - but we couldn't have been more wrong. The ploughmans and soup was perfectly fine (went down a treat with the wine... More

I have stayed at Kevin and Leah's delightful B&B twice now....once when walking the wall...when it was ideal and again this weekend when it provided a perfect and tranquil base for doing the Great North Run - one of my favourite B&Bs across the globe.

We stayed here 2 nights whilst doing a week in Northumberland. It's an excellent B&B near the best bits of Hadrain's Wall. Quality room, great breakfast and very friendly and welcoming owners who look after you.

We stayed for one night in a very large and comfortable room (two single beds joined together plus another single) in the main farmhouse. We were made very welcome by Leah who also gave us some very helpful information about local pubs for dinner. Even more helpfully, she did some laundry for us too for no extra charge. Carraw is... Arrived after walking 10 miles from Corbridge on the Hadrians Wall trail. Tired and in need of relaxation we were so pleased to discover that we had a lovely bath in the accommodation. Great soup and plouhmans/salad with desert. Licenced as well with very good local beer. Excellent bed and fantastic view over the moors I cannot rate this venue... More

Stayed here as really convenient as is right next to Hadrians wall trail. It's around 4 miles from chollerford or 7 miles to once brewed/steel rigg. The Hadrians wall bus will also stop right outside which is very handy. Very nice evening meal plus got afternoon tea and cakes. Room was very smart and clean and was good size. Breakfast... More

Can't wait to visit Carraw B & B again next month. We've recommended and are taking friends this time. B & B tag doesn't really do the place justice as the service and excellent rooms are more along the lines of boutique Inn. We can't wait to enjoy the breakfast again which sets you up for the days hike.! Kevin... More
