Amazing place. Definitely one of the best B&B We have ever been. It was our second visit and it was as good as the first time. Absolutely love this place! Delicious breakfast with beautiful view, could sit there all day long and relax. But so much to do in this area so no chance :). Definitely coming back.

We had a cosy night away staying at Carraw just before Christmas. The rooms are luxuriously decorated, cosy and impeccably clean. They had thought of everything, providing a wide selection of speciality teas and coffees (even decaf tea and decaf coffee) in the room along with some homemade shortbread biscuits which were just about the best I've ever tasted. The...

On my 10 day ramble from Newcastle to Bowness-on-Solway, Carraw was the best night by far. We arrived on a cold misty day in May to a warm welcome, a beautiful room, an excellent supper, and a great breakfast. The comfort, views, and location are all superb. I would plan my hike around staying here next time--it's really worth it!

The PERFECT Location, very nice, very comfortable and super friendly hosts! Scheduled half a day for reconnaissance of wall sights and hikes, the hosts gave great info and tips and the B&B is on the wall (though its mostly at grade level). Breakfast was excellent, and on a Friday night in early December, I had the place to myself. I...

I've always wanted to visit 2 of the main sites along Hadrian's Wall ever since my wife walked it's entirety a few years ago. Caraw B+B is perfectly positioned near Housesteads Roman Fort and the Sycamore Gap. The bonus is the B+B is also a first class stopping place with amazing views and lovely modern spacious rooms.

We spent three nights here. We found it by chance searching the Internet for somewhere close to Hexham, and what a lucky find! It is a farmhouse that has been beautifully refurbished and modernised, whilst keeping its character. We stayed in the Vindolanda room in the main house, which was very pretty with wonderful old beams in the vaulted ceiling....
