I could not say enough wonderful things about Rapture Surf Camp (Nicaragua). I spent a week here as part of the 'Wild Things' Surf + Yoga retreat and can say I am leaving refreshed as well as challenged physically and emotionally. You probably don't care about that though so let's talk about the camp... Property / Location - this place is stunning, with amazing views of the ocean from every building / room on the island. Accommodations were comfortable and cleaned daily. Most meals were included in our retreat and AMAZING. I literally dreamed last night about the homemade bread and banana pancakes at breakfast as well as the oven-fired pizzas. Also do yourself a favor and get the banana chocolate smoothies. People - man, where to begin. Vincent and his family as well as the full time / staff and interns (Simone, Rachel, Moe, Sergi) were kind, funny, and attentive somehow balancing the logistics of organizing meals, surfing, etc. while making us feel like part of their family. On top of that, the surfing instructors like Orlando, Danny, and Hiram managed to get us up on the boards day one, paddling into them ourselves on day two, and most importantly laughing each time we fell. Experience - waking up each morning to sunrise yoga, spending the afternoons surfing into the sunset, exploring volcanoes and lagoons and doing it alongside such an inspiring group of people was one of the best experiences of my life. I have walked away with a love for a new sport (surfing) and so many new friendships. Bottom line: Go. The booking process isn't super streamlined but don't let that or anything else deter you. You will not regret it. See you guys next year!…
I could not possibly have had a more positive experience. Staff are responsive, helpful and super fun. I had never surfed before and I was well taken care of the whole trip. The surf guides are excellent. The facilities are gorgeous and conducive to a nice community atmosphere. There were opportunities to go into town and do other excursions in Nicaragua as well, which were really fun (I went horseback riding, zip-lining, saw an active volcano etc). Highly recommend!
Nothing but good things to say!! So incredible! Came here for a surf and yoga retreat with 20 friends and they made the time perfect despite us being a lot of people with many demands! Can’t wait to come back
We slept in one of the two tents and it was really nice. Everything was super clean and tidy. The food is amazing. The staff is great and always friendly and helpful in any situation. The surf was great too. Beautiful beaches.
I had a great time at Rapture Nicaragua. The staff was super helpful, the breakfast delicious and I really enjoyed the surfguiding. There's a very good vibe in the camp and it didn't surprise me a lot of people ended up extending their stay!
