Sites are large and easily accommodate larger trailers very clean and the staff is very nice . Only negatives the sites near the road are along a well traveled road all day and night so try to get a spot farther in. Bathhouse are very clean really nice however only one and it’s located near the back of the campground and trash dumpsters though plentiful are only in one location near exit so depending on where your site is can be a haul … none of these negatives would deter us from booking again over all a very pleasant experience

Looking a little outside of the heart of Lancaster we found Hershey Road Campground as an affordable alternative. From the moment we arrived I was impressed with the absolute cleanliness and neatness of everything in the campground. From the pool, the bathrooms/showers, good water pressure and the store, this place was the most well maintained campground I've ever been to in 30-years of camping in the PA area. The bathrooms and showers were so clean and spotless that our group preferred to use them instead of our own camper, which is extremely rare since few campgrounds are up to these standards. I honestly would equate the bathrooms and showers to what you would find in a top rated name brand hotel and not a campground. The campsites were well defined, neatly separated with full stone with large, clean cooking grills like you would find in a park and neatly bricked fire pits; (No rusty truck rims)! I can't say enough about the friendly staff and well maintained facilities. I believe it was fully renovated within the last year or two and it shows. it was disappointing that we found there is only carp in the fishing pond and no bass. The only negative I found was that the stones used on the sites and roads were rather large and sharp. It will be uncomfortable to walk around without your shoes or sneakers on all the time at your site when outside your camper. All in all I highly recommend this campground and would stay here again.

Hershey Road Campground is clean and has very nice (roomy) campsites Each campsite has a picnic table and a firepit. The bath house is like new and the camp store is clean and has everything you might need. Although we were there in November and the pool and waterpark weren't open, it looks as though it would be beautiful in the summer. We will definitely return during the summer so we can use the pool and waterpark.

We just spent a wonderful week at Hershey Road Campground. This is a very nice campground that I would definitely stay at again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Check-in was a breeze and all the staff are friendly. The main office/camp store is very nice and has all the essentials you might need or maybe forgot. The campground is big but easy to walk anywhere you want to go. The playground is very nice for the kids and there is a really nice covered picnic area. The pond is stock full of fish making it really fun for the kids. The bathhouses are super nice and cleaned regularly. The mini golf course is fun, challenging, in great shape and well kept. We didn't get to use the pool area but it looks really nice too. Finally, the sites are very spacious and flat. You're not right on top of your neighbor. The location of this campground is just perfect if you're taking in the attractions at Hershey and the Amish country like we did. You're 8 miles from Hershey Park and downtown Hershey. You're just a short 30 minute ride away from Lancaster and surrounding towns such as Strasburg and Intercourse. When we come back to this area we will be staying at Hershey Road! Thank you!

First time camping here was last weekend for Father's Day weekend and it was also my husband's birthday. The campground is super clean and everything looks brand new. The staff is amazing! Upon check in they had hard bound books ready for us, along with camp maps, parking pass, flyers for the weekend events etc. The book was about the local places and things to do, it was a nice freebie! The weekend events were laid out perfectly on the flyer but the staff also told us about every event in detail. Also, the events coordinator had us on her text chain and would text reminders about what was happening that day. That was super helpful to me as a busy mom who forgets a lot!

They had free events! A father's day craft was available with tons of stickers and colors to choose from. They even had a bowl of lollipops that the kids could choose from. There were painting crafts in the camp store as well and they were only $7 with unlimited choices of paint already packaged in little to go containers. In addition to the free father's day craft, there was a really fun scavenger hunt, hosted by the same person (I believe her name is Cheryl or Shirl - she has energy and smiles for days!!). The scavenger hunt was printed on colored paper and they even had markers the kids could borrow to check off their items. Upon completion of the scavenger hunt (they didn't even check which was sweet) each kid got a prize! It was a cute baggie with four pieces of good candy like gummies, m&ms and lollipops, AND a coupon for a free ice cream bar from the camp store! Imagine being a kid and allowed to "shop" for whatever ice cream you want from the camp store for free! So sweet. Oh yeah, there was also a coloring contest when we checked in. We took a Father's Day coloring page back to our camper and colored them pretty, signed our names and site number and submitted later. We didn't win but the kids had a blast doing it.

The pool is clean and pretty. On a colder day they put the heaters on so it was warm enough to enjoy! There was a DJ there one day and the staff was so much fun that they got up and did the electric slide (so did I!).

The bath houses were so large and clean - we showered there instead of our brand new camper, that's house nice they are!

There's a pond for fishing, a really nice playground, a game room/arcade, and a pavilion where some activities were - or you can use for a picnic. They had food trucks and Amish food stand and wine tasting one day. Just so much stuff to do! There's also a spacious and shaded dog run for your pets!

We really loved this campground and will go back! It only took us 20 minutes to go to the free Hershey Chocolate World Tour too. Thanks for a great camping weekend!!

I stayed at this campground 11/3-11/7 for a getaway and visit to Hershey Park. We had a pull-through site which accommodated our 32' travel trailer and truck. The site was graveled, clean, level, and roomy. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and charcoal grill. Workers can be seen all day long maintaining the campsites.

The mini golf course is a decent size and well maintained. The pool was closed but the area was clean and inviting. There is an arcade, washers/dryers, showers (all clean and well maintained).

The site is close to Hershey Park as well as Lancaster.

Of all the RV parks at stayed at this season, this is the first one I'm taking the time to review. If you are looking for a stay in the area, I highly recommend this campground. I will definitely be returning with my family.

In June my daughter and I spent a weekend here with my sister. Loved it so much we went and purchased our own camper. We had a monthly reservation for July. Due to COVID some things were still being completed then. We have since come back for another month starting August 12th and everything is ready!

The cabins look cute and are now rentable. The grass has grown in and all the new sites appear ready to go. Many of those spots are being utilized.

Amenities: FREE mini golf, catch and release pond, pool/splash pad, playground and I believe there is an arcade that is unfortunately still closed.

Bathhouse is amazing and I’m not looking forward to ever having to shower somewhere else. Laundry facility is small but I’ve always managed to get the laundry done. I do like the app that is available and tells me when my clothes are done.

The dog park is now open and it’s been nice to see the dogs getting to run and play some. One complaint from the first stay would have been how many people weren’t cleaning up after their dogs but now there are dog clean up areas with garbage can and bags, problem eliminated!

Quiet time is 11pm but there hasn’t been a problem. The campers all seem very quiet and laid back. Nothing rowdy here.

The biggest downside is the lack of shade.

Very close to Hershey-go to the park or do some shopping at the outlets. Rails to Trails is very close, we like to ride our bikes on it. Local fishing nearby if you’re hoping to find some keepers.

We’ve met amazing people every weekend and have definitely enjoyed our time here!!!

Wonderful campground for families with children! Sites are kept clean in between visitors with a fire pit and clean picnic table. The bathhouse is one of the nicest I’ve seen, brand new with many stalls. Large pavilion for activities and crafts. New pool with splash pad kept the kids busy all afternoon. They had a DJ at the pool on Saturday afternoon who played fun kid friendly music. The staff joined in the fun as well and had several games for the kids to participate in. Both Friday and Saturday the campground had local food trucks ! My favorite was the coffee food truck Saturday morning, which I’ve never seen before. Loved there were no golf carts zooming around all hours of the day and night as well. The playground was a decent size for the kids to climb and swing without being on top of each other. The mini golf area was a little of a disappointment with the lack of obstacles on some of the holes . However the kids had a blast putting the ball around. The campground is located on a main road so you can hear the traffic, however the sites closer to the pond and back corner are quieter. That being said the road noise is not a reason for us to not go back. Liked the separate entrance and exit for entering and leaving the campground. Less congestion at the main office. The office has everything you’d need from rv equipment you might have forgotten, to toys, to information on the area. Lastly, the pond was a fun attraction for our children as there are large koi fish swimming around and they come to the surface. My son even caught a sunny fish. Overall, would definitely come back to this campground in the future and recommend anyone looking to stay in the area to give it a try.

The owners have taken the campground to a new level. The recent upgrades to the arrival area, pool, and bathhouse are great. The sites are level with convenient connections for full hook-up, fire pits, site bbq grills, and picnic tables were well maintained and clean. We will return.

We took our son and his wife and 2 small daughters to Hershey for a 3 day visit. It was an awesome visit from the moment we entered to register for our site. Many activities for all ages. There was a DJ on Sat. afternoon then live music in the evening. Sites were spacious with grill, firepit and picnic table. We had a pull-thru which was easy to get to and the hookups were perfectly placed for our Class A MH. Pool was awesome with a spray area. Kids loved fishing and miniature golf. We will definitely stop here again.
