The location is quite remote, but was convenient for my nearby business - it's a small hotel, set in the countryside in the style of a modern hunting lodge. If you don't care for hunting trophies on the wall, this really wouldn't be for you. Arriving around six on a very cold and foggy evening, the welcome was warm in terms of both hospitality and the wood-burning stove at the centre of the main room which serves as reception, dining room and lounge. The bedroom, like the main room, was cosy and comfortable, though the heater did take a while to take the chill off. There was a good shower, with very hot water, all spotlessly clean. Curtains and blinds served to keep out the light - double-glazing was effective against any drafts or chill from outside. The evening meal was excellent; my Polish colleague had selected for us from a choice of two dishes and we were very satisfied both nights. Amazing value for money. Breakfast is at a time you agree your hosts and is mainly laid out ready for you - and what a spread! Generous quantities of high quality products. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, two younger staff members spoke excellent English.

It's been fantastic. Very hospitable hosts. Amazing home cooked food. I would recommend this venue to everyone. It is surrounded by woodlands and very nicely designed gardens with big pond in the middle of the main garden. They organise all sort of functions. Originally it was a hunters lodge now open to the public. Beautiful surroundings with excellent facilities. Theres few rooms that are very, very clean and equipped to the top standards. If there s anything you require management is more than happy to oblige it instantly :) Bbq area has massive fireplace, drinks bar & beautiful wooden table which makes it perfect not only for BBQing but also for all sorts of gatherings with friends or family. Overall it's very classy place where owners attention to detail is outstanding .
