We recently stayed 4 nights here. We loved the farm setting and Sarah and Peter were brilliant hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very comfortable overlooking the courtyard with the hens wandering about. Breakfast was excellent and Sarah and Peter gave us lots of information on things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed visits to Hadrian's Wall and High Force Low Force waterfalls and local walks. The scenery is amazing. We ate at the Elk's Head pub in Whitfield, the Kings Arms in Allendale, The Spice Mill Indian in Allendale and The Cart's Bogg Inn at Langley. They were all very good especially The Cart's Bogg and the Indian. We would thoroughly recommend High Keenley Fell farm and will definitely be going back to Northumberland.

We just spent a weekend at High Keenley Fell Farm. It was great and I highly recommend this B&B. The drive up there is amazing, with super views. The farm is situated on one of the highest points around and you can see in every direction. Sarah showed us to our room - very nice and very clean. (We had to leave our shoes downstairs - bring slippers - it's all carpeted but the bathroom floor isn't). The bed was very comfortable and a good size. Great photos of sheep on the walls. Sarah brought up a tray of tea things with milk in a small thermos and biscuits. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast - as well as cold cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, we got a full cooked breakfast with lots of coffee. Fresh farm eggs too and all served on fine china. They have sheep, cattle, a horse, chickens and dogs. Sarah recommended a good place for dinner (in another review). We went for a lovely long walk down to Allendale. There are plenty of walking opportunities in the area and the farm is a great base. Sarah spent time with us and answered questions. Our room was tidied and the biscuits replace while we were out. Lovely, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I do hope we can go back (esp. for lambing season!) There are 3 double rooms - ours had a view of the courtyard with the chickens but it was still nice. All rooms have ensuite bathroom. Everything is nicely decorated and the original renovations were well done. (Only one small fix - if you walk within in a metre of the wardrobe door it rattles!)
