The setting (great views and shade) of this lodge makes up for average accommodation and service. The main attraction is the desert elephants roaming around in the dry riverbeds. To my opinion the tented camp (with nice open air, outside, en-suite ablution) is the most interesting accommodation at this lodge. The tents are in the welcome shade of big trees...

Its all about the magic of the Brandberg mountain. We stayed in a family chalet away from the lodge and loved the setting. The chalets are hot and dusty, but remember these people have big challenges. Sandstorms in the afternoon and no electiciry make it impossible for fans. Linen was crisp and the surrounds lovely. Dessert elephants walk through the...

We were 4 people. Stayed in 2 tents for 1 night en- route to Twyfelfontein. Service good. Braai facilities nice.Very basic but clean. Tents need some attention .People friendly. Breakfast basic but nice. Road to lodge need attention. Nights can become warm. We enjoyed the stay and braai because it was so different. Were approached after dark by a group...

Stay for one night, they put us very far from the main area. Very dangerous if you have to walk to the main area for dinning in the night. Locks on my room door very insecure and flimsy. Lots of mosquito in the room, no hot water in the morning for shower which they promise at 6am, staff only came...

If you are on the fence and wondering whether or not to make the drive to visit here, don't even give it a second thought. White lady lodge is easily the best place in Namibia. Camping is cheap. Elephants wander freely through the campsite and make stunning photos at dawn... But best of all, eddy knows the best way to...

What a place!!!! We camped there for 3 nights and it was the most wonderful experience. All the staff were extremely friendly and gave us good advise to find the elephants always good to listen to the locals and the guides. Ice cold drinks and big pools with views of Brandberg, what more can one ask for. Thanks to everyone...

We had to change our itinerary and booked a campsite in the white lady lodge just the day before we arrived there, the place is a no nonsense lodge, campsites are scattered around and you can choose any which has not been taken . We took one with view on the riverbed hoping to see some desert elephants, although no...

As a regular visitor - at least once a ninth and this month twice- we had again a lifetime experience. It is very dry and the elephants wanted to enter the lodge garden area. The manager, Johan quickly got all guests to safety behind the wall and stood ready with his hooter and when the elephant came to close for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Brandberg White Lady Lodge is a rustic lodge situated in the Damaraland (Tsiseb Conservancy) about 2 km from Namibia's highest mountain the Brandberg. The main building is built with natural materials from the surrounding area with a thatched roof. All accommodation is widely spread out on the bank of the Ugab River, ensuring a quiet, tranquil and relaxed stay. We are an eco friendly lodge running on solar power, therefore our rooms only have lights. Guests are welcome to charge electrical devices at the main building. Even though we experience high temperatures during most of the year, our guests can come and relax at our two well maintained swimming pools and lush green garden. We offer an English breakfast and for dinner a nice home cooked 3 course meal. For stop overs, we offer light lunches and something cold from the bar. We are looking forward to welcoming you at our lodge. ... more   less
