What a place!!!! We camped there for 3 nights and it was the most wonderful experience. All the staff were extremely friendly and gave us good advise to find the elephants always good to listen to the locals and the guides. Ice cold drinks and big pools with views of Brandberg, what more can one ask for. Thanks to everyone...

We had to change our itinerary and booked a campsite in the white lady lodge just the day before we arrived there, the place is a no nonsense lodge, campsites are scattered around and you can choose any which has not been taken . We took one with view on the riverbed hoping to see some desert elephants, although no...

As a regular visitor - at least once a ninth and this month twice- we had again a lifetime experience. It is very dry and the elephants wanted to enter the lodge garden area. The manager, Johan quickly got all guests to safety behind the wall and stood ready with his hooter and when the elephant came to close for...

Cool campsite at the edge of the river bed, where desert elephants roam up and down if you are lucky. We chose a campsite directly at the river bed and had 2 visits by elephants, which were rather scary but fun in the end! Definitely read the sheet the reception hands out about what to do (and more importantly what...

This place actually grew on me, especially the quirky hot water system. What I really didn't like were the dusty/smelly mosquito nets that drape over the bed unsupported so they are close to your face, yuk. We had a dinner bed & breakfast deal which I'm guessing is the norm for this remote accommodation. We had twin beds, concrete floor...

We stayed here for one night at the start of October and we were glad it was only for one night. The location is fantastic and it was great to stay in the chalets away from the main building - you get a feeling of truly being away from it all. However, the lodge as a whole seemed to be...

We stayed here 5 years ago in a detached room which was then ok. This time our room was in a block and very very basic. We had 4 beds in 2 rooms although there were only 2 of us. There were fans but these did not work so we sweltered all night. There was also a table and chairs...

We camped here for 1 night after our stay in the Etosha area. Warning - it is very hot here!! Luckily, campers are allowed to use the pool facilities to help cool down. The pool could have been cleaner (a common problem in locations in Namibia we found). Camping spots are well laid out and in a very scenic area.

Having read some of the adverse reports about the lodge we found it to be better than expected. The beautiful setting under the large trees in the dry river bed is unusual in this desert area. Saw the foot prints of elephants that walked through the camp the one night. Accommodation in the rooms is basic but adequate. The food...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Brandberg White Lady Lodge is a rustic lodge situated in the Damaraland (Tsiseb Conservancy) about 2 km from Namibia's highest mountain the Brandberg. The main building is built with natural materials from the surrounding area with a thatched roof. All accommodation is widely spread out on the bank of the Ugab River, ensuring a quiet, tranquil and relaxed stay. We are an eco friendly lodge running on solar power, therefore our rooms only have lights. Guests are welcome to charge electrical devices at the main building. Even though we experience high temperatures during most of the year, our guests can come and relax at our two well maintained swimming pools and lush green garden. We offer an English breakfast and for dinner a nice home cooked 3 course meal. For stop overs, we offer light lunches and something cold from the bar. We are looking forward to welcoming you at our lodge. ... more   less
