We last visited Antigua 25 years ago for our honeymoon. Always said we'd return one day. So glad we chose Nonsuch Bay. We knew that because this hotel is on the Atlantic side of the island that the beach would have seaweed and the sand wouldn't be as good as the Caribbean side. We spent most days on the small beach, plenty of sunbeds and shade to choose from. A small beach bar that served drinks from 10am till late afternoon. The bar staff often walked around the beach asking guests if they wanted a drink. I did think a nice addition would be some tables/chairs near the bar to socialize. Our two bedroom villa was large and spacious with separate air con units in the living area and both bedrooms. large living area with full kitchen. Washing machine, dishwasher (take your own Dishwasher tablets and washing powder) Full size fridge freezer with ice machine. The bar area wasn't big but we always found a seat for the four of us. The bar staff David, Petrina and Everton were excellent at their jobs. Always looking to refill our drinks and making ace cocktails. Natasha and Michelle on or near the front desk were always at hand to talk and help with 'car hire' 'taxis' also booking our trips. We booked Sunday night at Shirley Heights (best night out) they also booked 'Stingray City' for us. The food reviews were probably the main reason we booked Nonsuch Bay. It didn't disappoint. Breakfast buffet with excellent eggs. Buffet lunch with nice salads and plenty of Caribbean food on offer. The highlight was the evening meals. 4 coarse A la carte. Perfectly cooked very tasty food, always served with big smiles and nice wine red/white or rose. Overall we had a fabulous holiday for 14 nights in a lovely hotel. Would go back to Nonsuch without hesitation.

We had a great 10 days at Nonsuch bay and have no hesitation in adding to previous 5 star reviews. The resort is compact with a small beach and three pools. The staff area exceptionally friendly and quickly address you on first name terms. The accommodation was originally built as time shares so is extremely spacious with a large living area, large bedrooms/bathrooms and a wrap around balcony space. Food is a la carte and exceptional quality even though the menu each night is limited to 3 main dishes. Nevertheless it was difficult to make a choice of what to have and there were different options every single night of our stay (i.e. the menu did not repeat in the second week). There are 4 courses for dinner. Breakfast and lunch are self service and perfectly adequate. In addition there is afternoon tea with cake. We just wanted somewhere to chill out and the resort hit the mark perfectly. It is a little isolated but you can hire a car if you want to see the rest of the island. Watersports are excellent and we had a great lesson learning to sail a Hobbie Cat and used the sea kayaks - all included. Equally the trip to Green Island should not be missed - especially if you want to see turtles. Travel adaptors are required (US plugs) and my tip (given the amount of devices to charge these days) is to also take a 1 to 4 UK adaptop to provide sufficient plug sockets. We took the evening sail trip around the bay (thank you Ricardo) and went to Shirley Heights - although in retrospect it might have been better to do the latter at some other time to the Sunday evening - whilst we would have missed the music, it would have been less crowded and cheaper. The cocktails at Nonsuch were great (special mention to Everton) and finally a mention to the fabulous Schena. That said I really should mention all of the staff - thank you - we had a fabulous holiday. The one thing I would warn about is the chirping of the tree frogs at night - very loud and they seem to keep the noise up all night!

We booked a two bedroom beach villa for our holiday. It was very clean and the living space was huge. We had an exceptionally comfy bed. The kids had a perfect holiday (8 & 12). The played in the sea and pools and made loads of friends. Caribbean beaches get some seaweed (only since 2011, and as a result of the deforestation of the rainforest). This is usually minimal, and people rake the beach daily to clear any. Only on one day did it stop us swimming. Oddly, it was one of the children’s best days - they helped clear the beach. For those who don’t like seaweed there’s Green Island nearby - a ten minute boat trip from the hotel with crystal clear waters and no seaweed. The beach bar staff were great. David was one of our favourites. He was lovely with the kids whilst they ‘helped’ mix cocktails, tidy up, and deliver some of the drinks. The food was delicious. The dinner menu changes daily. Both kids were very happy with the breakfast buffet but our youngest is a bit fussy, and when the lunch buffet didn’t appeal, the kitchen would make her a toastie. They were very, very accommodating. We met some wonderful staff. I have to mention the fabulous Schena. I don’t know how she manages to look so beautiful and unflappable in 30 degrees. Peta-Gay often served us and she was also absolutely brilliant. Fil also provided really great service. Ruth was endlessly efficient, accommodating and thoughtful. Devon and Ricardo who took us hobi cat racing were fantastic too. Thank you all xxx

We travelled as a married couple celebrating my 65th birthday. The apartment was huge with two large bedrooms and bathrooms, one of which we didn't need, and a large fully fitted kitchen area with a wrap around sea view balcony with ample beds and seating areas. The resort is small and very friendly, and although we had a few small issues (as you normally do), these were sorted out by Natasha who appears to be around to help out for so much of the time. She and all the other staff including David and Sheena were so friendly and welcoming. The beach is small but there are ample sunbeds for all and the palm trees provide plenty of shade. There was a lot of seaweed around which I believe is prevelent around many areas of the Carribbean, but the staff worked hard every day to keep it clear. The food is excellent. Not always a huge selection, but always enough choice to keep us happy. Draught beer in the bar is very pleasant (unlike many Caribbean draught beers) and the cocktails were good and well presented. We had lunch at the couples only 'NonSuch Escape' which was also excellent with lovely views from the restaurant. We tried the short walk back to our hotel in the mid afternoon heat which was our decision but I would advise getting the courtesy transport on offer. Our mistake as us Brits love a walk !! If you are looking for a peacful, restful, intimate holiday then this is ideal. We hope to return one day.

With the sun shining driving to reception, my first impressions were of awe. The buildings looked exactly as they did on the website with the palm trees waving in the air. Greet start to my holiday. I arrived very early on August 23rd. Natasha greeted me with such a warm welcome, so thank you 😊 Fruit punch on arrival, you definitely know you're in the Caribbean. The porter was off sick that day and so Natasha drove me to my room. Well I expected it to be a typical hotel room. Instead I was greeted with a what looked like a house. Fully furnished Living room, fully equipped kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom with a jacuzzi. A porch, not balcony, with outside furniture. And a garden view with a swimming pool. The beach a short distance away. This was going to be my home for the next few days 😁 Breakfast and lunch is buffet style. The variety of food changes daily and was always tasty. Compliments to the chef/s. Dinner was on another level, 4 courses, if you really want to. As a treat I ordered the lobster on my last evening. What I received made my eyes pop out, succulent indeed. Suffice to say I devoured the lobster and still had space for dessert. Saturday evening there is entertainment from a local singer, great voice, she is very good getting people involved. Unfortunately I can't remember her name. There is also a separate quiz night. If you want more entertainment then travelling outside the resort may be best for you. I took a trip to Green Island, so glad I did. What an experience. I snorkled with the fish, what a fantastic experience! I would definitely recommend it. Thanks to all the guys who helped us with the equipment and took us out by boat and brought us back safely. Thank you to the hotel for not allowing guests to claim the sun loungers, giving everyone a chance to use them. My one and only issue is the size of the beach. I thought it was longer, with space for you to be away from other guests. The water was soo warm, you don't want to come out. I had cocktails galore, am now detoxing. In all I had a fantastic time at Nonsuch Bay Resort. Shout outs to Sabrina, Schena, Shaq, Mauricia and Natasha. Sorry can't remember the other names. Hope to see you all again!
