I stayed last week for work and the evening was spoilt by a very loud man at the bar who had a ponytail and the loudest voice on the planet ( Brian Blessed would aspire to be as loud) I wasn't the only person that this chap disturbed as another guest looked over from his table and rolled his eyes...

I can't believe the reviews I have read. This place is brilliant and even my awkward 14 year old daughter was suited. The breakfast was superb and the lady member of staff so polite and efficient. All staff made us feel welcome. We have stayed several places in Cambridge whilst visiting our son and this is the best. The sperate chalet type rooms...

Booked 3 nights B &B mainly due to its location which is excellent for visiting Cambridge. The acc is a purpose built block separate from the pub. Comfy beds but that s where it ends. The drains in the wet room absolutely smelt awful. The TV reception dodgy kept freezing. On the first night we heard footsteps above over a...

5 of us visited for a carvery on Mother's Day Sunday 26 March. It was the worst meal I have ever had. There was an awful smell in the pub and especially in the dining area. It smelled like vomit. The room smelled and looked dirty. The bar man showed us through to the table and although there seemed to...

The bar looked very interesting when I arrived - lots of locals. I checked in, went to my room which was basic but ok. I went for a look round which lasted about 20 minutes then returned. The bar was now almost empty. I ate steak which was good. I suspect the menu has been simplified as there were no...

Booked this B&B due to its location for a one night's stay. Friendly helpful staff but this pub needs some TLC in every way. The rooms and bathrooms are a decent size but the whole place could do with some renovation.

We decided to go to this pub for dinner after looking at the menu on the website which promised such dishes as game encroute or seared pigeon breast. In reality, the menu mainly consisted of scampi and chips, sausage and mash or gammon and chips. We decided to give them then benefit of the doubt and ordered the scampi and...

I stayed here for business and from the pictures it looked great. On arrival, I was made to feel very unwelcome by the regulars in the pub! The whole pub just looked as I walked in to check in. The bedroom was awful, the bed sheets did not fit the bed and the corners of the bed curled up from...

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at The Lord Byron Inn. We are aware the rooms need a bit of decorating and we are in the process of doing so for the spring. I have been in the room you stayed in and apart from the door needing another coat of paint it seems fine. As for the...
