My wife and myself went for a Sunday lunch. It was a carvery with a choice of 2 meats and a selection of vegetables.Everything was fresh and delicious.Service was good.If a carvery suits you I would recommend it.Only a small pub but clean , well maintained and welcoming.

Dinner for 8 after a long day in the hills, good choice, generous portions and really friendly staff. The landlord made us very welcome and the Reverend James was in tip top quality. Only shortcomin, the veg, the meals could have done with something more interesting than peas.

Came to The Farmer's Arms after a walk in the Brecon Beacons. The owner was very welcoming. The pub is in a beautiful setting. Food was reasonably priced and the portions were huge! We had no phone signal in the pub to arrange a taxi back to crickhowell, but the owner organised one for us. Will re visit in the... More

Very welcoming owner and top service all round, even brought my pint to the table. Lovely food, all home cooked fresh and tasty. Eat in the bar area, lovely real fire, though I think there's also a 'restaurant' / lounge area. Great selection of beers, not just the usual tipples. Wish it was closer to home, I'd be there every... More

If you're anywhere near Cwmdu, then do stop off and have a drink at The Farmers Arms. Excellent, locally produced food on offer with a wide choice of drinks available. There's wifi too. They are closed on a Monday. Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening after a long drive to Wales from Norfolk. I'll be back next year.

Lovely location in the Usk valley, had a lovely fish and chips mushy peas on the evening, had Sunday lunch served from the car very, unfortunately it was not very warm and the meat though a generous portion was a little tough. Staff and landlord were very friendly especially the young waitresses, they were very helpful and courteous.

We didnt stay there, but were staying nearby and walked down a cold and wet country lane to the pub. It is not a big village, but there seemed to a range of locals inside. They were entertaining to watch and said hello. The pub itself it quite small, and cozy, old fashioned and with a battered charm. And none... More

We stayed one night in one of the rooms at the Farmer's Arms at the end of a fairly packed holiday. We kept having to change our arrival time due to traffic, but the owner didn't seem to mind - we received a warm welcome, the room was warm (as warm as it could be with 5 electric heaters at...
