I go here every few months for good pub food. The menu is enough to not be bamboozle for choice and still varied enough for most tastes and prides itself on locally sourced produce. I find it realiably turns out good food and so I pretty much know what I'll get and no bad surprises. Has a great wine and... More

We had a party of 17 attend for a late Sunday lunch, this number included kids 10 and under. Had a great kids menu, cheeseburgers that looked like sliders! And the usual suspects you'd expect on a menu. We all had our meals (except one) within a fair time considering the restaurant was close to full, the pizza was nice,... More

Dropped in here for a late lunch midweek. Arriving at close to 2.00pm we didn't hold much hope but we were wrong! Shown to a lovely table next to the large windows that are deceptive from the outside due to tinting. We were brought water straight away and presented with a fairly large menu with everything sounding tasty. And it... More

Our group of eleven booked the separate dining room which is to the side of the main eating area. It was nicely set up waiting for us on a Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy - and very noisy. The concertina doors were closed on our area, but it was still hard to hear each other talk. The dining... More

Ridiculous prices for what you get. If you want to walk away with an empty tummy and an empty wallet, well this is the place for you!!! Someone should educate the kitchen staff on the difference between a hamburger and a slider because I'm not too sure they actually know the difference. I won't be going back in a hurry…

Had a family dinner at The Plough - had not been before so sight unseen! On entry the first thing you notice is the noise level. I imagine working there would be detrimental to your hearing! The bar and dining room were full - mixed crowd but so noisy. A young mum was trying to rock her baby to sleep... More

I stayed 9 days. The room is nice, though windows are small, don't open, and not much of a view. Good air conditioner on the room though. There is a small fridge, teapot, nice television and everything is clean. Microwave available nearby. Very difficult to get room cleaned by housekeeping unless you leave early in the morning and are gone... More

Reasonably close to city with transport close by. (Both Bus and Train). Rooms comfortable if you only need to sleep and shower. Restaurant is great but no breakfast at the hotel or close by is the downside. Despite its closeness to a major road we had no noise issues. Free laundry is a plus. We will be back

Visited on a wet summer evening. Bit barn like with the noise however the food and beer makes it a must do place to eat. Wait staff a but overly attentive however that is a good complaint I guess. Deserts also great. Drink , Brunswick bitter of course.

Comfortable clean room, friendly staff, close to train station. Saturday night a bit noisy but did not hear anything other nights (stayed Thurs - Sun) Bathrooms are a bit dated, bed very comfortable, great night sleep. Laundry provided as well.
