The location was good and convenient as it was located on a buzzling street and easy to get to the other places. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, room was old, outdated and dirty. I was assigned a room which was full of flying insects with stained bed wrapping and a broken air con. Room maid didn't mind to put the new water bottles in my room. Quite disappointed!
I am giving this hotel 4 stars because of what the hotel is - not what it isn't. No, there is no restaurant. This chain of hotels is a bit odd in that they are generally the most up-scale in their market (I've now stayed in two-both in Lam Dong province). And yet they don't offer food (no breakfast, no restaurant). Another review mentioned a 55k voucher you can buy or get for breakfast. I didn't know about that option. Perhaps it's a special deal for certain room rates. While the rooms are modern, they are not all bright. Your best option is a room off the back of the hotel. The rooms on the side don't get a lot of light. Rooms in the front suffer from road noise (LOTS of trucks loudly blaring their horns as they roll through town). But I would absolutely stay here again if I find myself once again in Bao Loc.…
We stayed 2 nights at the Sandals hotel few weeks ago. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room on the first floor was nice and clean, however, we wished we had requested a room on a higher floor & way in the back of the hotel to avoid traffic noise. Each guest can purchase a 55K dong voucher for breakfast which served at 2 Doi Dep coffee shops nearby. We chose the one with a garden view and it worthed.
I stayed in the Seri last time I was in Bao Loc and found it a bit run down. The Sandals is owned by an emerging local team and coffee company Doidep and they’ve done well with this hotel. There is however no restaurant, but plenty within walking distance. If I have to come back to town I’d stay here again.
