I'm not one to give negative feedback, but our two nights at The Manor House Hotel were such a disappointment. After "upgrading" our reservation we were ushered into a third floor attic room (#10) - no air conditioning and only a small fan in front of an unscreened window for some relief. Neither of us were able to get much... More

Great location, excellent evening meals but only average breakfast. Lovely grounds and very interesting hotel but looking rather tired and in need of funds to bring it all up to standard. Often understaffed and whilst staff were always very pleasant service was hit and miss and often spent time "fire fighting" rather than providing the level of service one might... More

We stayed here with family for my sons wedding , the grounds and setting is lovely , we stayed in the coach house which was nice with spacious rooms however some of them were very dark not enough lighting. The breakfast was disappointing for the money we paid it was very basic no variety and wasn't very warm , it... More

We spent our wedding night at The Manor, following our wedding in the local area. We had the bridal suite which is a nice set of rooms though not the most opulent. What seriously disappointed us was the breakfast the next morning. We paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel, especially in the room that we chose,... More

This could be a good country house hotel but was badly let down by the restaurant at both breakfast and dinner. The building is a pleasant old manor house set in attractive gardens. It looks impressive as you drive in and the grounds are good for a walk. Michelle on reception was efficient, welcomed us with a glass of prosecco... More

We have passed this hotel on many occasions whilst travelling the length of the county and said one day we have to stay here. An opportunity arose so we decided to give it a go on a lovely August day. Bit of a mixed bag this one. The building looks very grand as you enter the grounds and your expectation... More

What an amazing place! Tea was superb, beautiful surroundings, good service, we all felt it was an amazing treat. Highly recommend the afternoon tea as the plates were full of goodies all home made. The hotel is so full of history & character we were charmed by its surroundings & felt very grand for the afternoon. We will go back... More

Had a really good deal with Voyage prive. The building really interesting with rooms dating back to the 12 century. The food was very good. The room was good. The staff were friendly but not well trained. Only a few things let them down nothing major but it is the little things that make staff good. Over all we had... More

Lovely grounds. Afternoon high tea was grossly overpriced after service charge and the sneaky additional cost of having another pot of tea (not mentioned to us when asked if we would like tea or coffee presumably included with the afternoon tea). Bitter taste in the mouth paying the bill after such a tasty platter of desserts. Took three attempts to... More
