Booked to camp here with a group of friends, love this place which has gone from good to great in our opinion over the years. Been using the camp site and pub for over 20 years, but since Tracey took it on, she has really improved it. Nice friendly staff. Restaurant and bar are well decorated, good beer choices, great food, tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced. Camping facilities are also very good. Great clean warm showers, washing up area also very handy and microwave was a bonus. Can’t wait for our next visit. Big thanks from all of us for the best camping and food provided. Everyone loved it.

On a recent trip from Ireland, myself and a friend shared a twin room at Y-Giler hotel. We loved it. Beautiful setting, overlooking a river and pond with a lovely large decked terrace area outside. We ate an evening meal and had breakfast too. Both times, the food was excellent. The rooms were spotless and a good size as was the en-suite bathroom. Comfy beds too. Highly recommend this place. This pub had many Tripadvisor awards on the wall, our experience was anything but award winning. We booked an early reservation because we had a small dog, when we arrived we were told that the dog was not allowed in the restaurant, we were quite prepared to go into the bar area, which was dog friendly without the owner being quite so officious. The menu was not very inspiring but we ordered lamb pie and plaice. When the dishes arrived, the plaice was obviously supermarket frozen quality served with chips and peas no salad garnish, this was at £11.95, the pie was served with chips and frozen peas, and tasteless synthetic gravy, this was at £9.75. As this was our anniversary it was a bit of a letdown. I have to say that the serving staff, young girls were very welcoming and friendly.

Clean, comfortable and surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside. The hotel is a short drive out of the main area of Betws y Coed but it's ideal for a peaceful break. Good dinner and breakfast with very friendly staff. I hope to stay again :)
